Title: a question about crashing
Post by: dr.phalange on October 10, 2004, 11:35:29 AM
Do you guys think my game keeps crashing due to my low amount of RAM?  My PC has 64 MB of RAM.

Other Specs:
Pentium II 450 MHZ
ATI Radeon 9000 64 MB

theres a very good posibility of it. im running with 256 and it would prolly run better with 512 so yea. i would suggest thoroughly modding your comp for this addon, especially because of all the lag some arenas cause.

or you just could try to reduce the graphich and resolution in the game. It should help.

If it don't help, try to remove the hazard in the arena (I know it will break fun but if you want to play...)

in last case, if those don't work, try to "overcloak" your PC but it's at your own risk.

Hope that'll help.

I'll probably just get a new computer (not now though).  I guess I could turn the graphic detail to low and change it to a windowed view...for now.

Buy 1024 RAM! It's great for games and 3D applications!

"1024 RAM only costs $1,024,000 "

your kidding, its only like $200 here, btw your overlooking the fact that RA2 has always been unstable and has crashed before and after events, even for me.  I think it is mostly game related, nothign to do with comp or the mod.  But a good comp won't stop crashes, but will increase performance substantialy.
