Hy ive just installed dsl on the CD version of RA2 V1.2 and for some reason whenever i try and select the (what im guessing is the) weapon section where claws like the razor weapon is held (the image looks like a single curved claw, its next to the multiplul claw section sorry that the discription is vage), the game crash's to desktop. Any help would be greatly aprechated.

Did You Install DSL-TC to an empty folder on your desktop and move to your RA2 folder by hand like the instructions say?

Do you have an nVidia 6000 or 7000 series video card?

And is your game for sure 1.20 version? Go to credits and see the upper right corner to see the version.

Thanks ill try that....although the CD version's instructions actully state for me to extract it to the RA2 dir.. which btw i had to change from read only.

[edit] Nope no luck there. ok heres step by step what i did

1) installed RA2 (V1.0) from my CD.
2) installed the RA2 V1.2 patch
3) installed DSL V1.0 to a new folder on my desktop
4) moved over the contence of the folder, overwrighted = yes to all
5) started the game
6) made a new team
7) made a new robot
8) made a chassie
9) clicked on the button i mensioned before
10) CRASH!!! :P

just tryed moving it over but not replacing any FILES (aka said yes to overwrighting folders but not to files)
.....no luck same prob

so sofar ive tryed:-
-installing direct to the RA2 folder without changing wrightonly (set up fails mid way with 255 error)

-install direct to RA2 with dissabling wright only (my crash)

-install to random dir then moving with everything overrighted (my crash)

-install to random dir then moving with nothing overrighted (my crash)

im lost i have no idea what to try next....oh and yes my version is 1.2 after the patch i just checked.

Have you installed DSL-TC 1.2 mod too? Because that fixes some errors in the mod. And also you need small fix pack what fixes extenders weights to correct.

Completely uninstall and reinstall the game and try again the right way ONLY. If you did it wrong first some of the files were probably damaged.

EDIT: Delete the Components.cfz in the main folder first.
