3ds 5 crashes Vbox (Solved)
« on: June 21, 2010, 03:42:57 PM »
The title pretty much explains my problem.  Whenever I try to load 3ds max 5 on Virtual Box, it shows me the splash and loads.  Right as it's about to show me the main window and let me do stuff, Virtual Box crashes.  I can't even try to change the graphics mode, it does the same thing when I do.

The last time I had it working was a couple days ago when Serge was showing me how to make components via TeamViewer.  Ever since then I havn't been able to get it to work.

Some specs:
  • Host machine is running Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit
  • Guest machine is running Windows XP SP1
  • Running Virtual Box in seamless mode
  • Guest machine has 1024MB of ram, 68MB of video memory, and has 3d and 2d acceleration enabled

Maybe try to disable both 2D and 3D acceleration.

Maybe try to disable both 2D and 3D acceleration.

It worked!  Problem solved.
