Build and customise robots that you can use in a fighting game by plugging the figure into your playstation (PSX/PS1) memory card slot.

*Build
*customise
*Play

I love, love, love this concept! Just imagine what a robot arena 2 game like this would be like :D or any game for that matter that has customisation in it like:

*Tekken 6
*Soul Caliber
*Gran Turismo
*Jade Cocoon
*Call of Duty

You could sell random part packs along with selling kits to build specific characters/robots. What are your thoughts on these types of things?

...

Daumn. If there was something like that for the steam store, perhaps using USB's or something, that would be crazy.

One sold yesterday on Ebay for US $51.02 + AU $49.69 (PH). Apparently it's not that rare in Japan so if you really wanted to buy it, it shouldn't cost too much from a Japanese seller.

The game only works on Japanese PS1's though which means you'd have to get one of those imported just to play the game sadly :(

I KNOW there's a more affordable version of this in America, but I can't for the life of me remember what it's called

I do believe there are ways around this.

Skylanders perhaps? :P only difference is you can't customise your figures and in-game characters (to match how the figure looks).

Probably something to do with gameshark.

Wow. Thats a pretty cool concept. Beats the carp out of UBFunkeys.  :P

Would have been pretty awesome if it was Mobile Suit Gundam.

looking through some Japanese site which showed this also showed some Gundam figures and some other random figures, not too sure if they are for video games or just lone figures/models.
