Latest rumour is that Xbox will charge full retail price on a used disc, meaning that there's no reason to buy used games.  I don't know if I'm being crazy or paranoid, but I think this setup is a huge goldmine for some fraudster.


Picture this; a con artist offers to buy used copies at $15 a pop.  The game owners will jump at that deal; they can play their game without the disc, they don't need it anymore.  The con artist then seals them up to make them look new, and sells them at $45 a pop.  I guarantee you, there's tons of people who'd be naive enough to fall for that, and Microsoft is going to get the blame.

Also, I said in a post awhile ago on here that if the used games thing was true someone should just go out and buy a tonne of Xbox One games (not the console) and sit on them for years until all the games have been used up then sell them for crazy amounts of cash.

BTW Xbox One isn't supporting current gen headsets either and they aren't letting indie devs publish their own games. Things just keep getting better and better.

I really wish Sony and Microsoft would at least release more details when they announce the new consoles. Honestly there is no point of announcing a new console if you aren't going to give a clear picture of it (Sony) or keep everything basically a secret (Microsoft).

They need to do their own event for 'handshaking' reasons. They allow only people with invitations to attend a pre-release event (more trust from stockholders, reviewers and press), even though everyone else can see it online. They can see these 'important people' in person, and tempt them...seems bloody pointless, right? But to Microsoft and those invited it's a very important event.

Either way, I'll get it only if there are better releases announced at E3, because at the moment I'm not tempted by the games. The specs appeal to me as a techie, but as a gamer I am unsatisfied.

I'm more of talking about racing sims (I should have said racing sims, my fault). I really have never been able to enjoy arcade racing games that much after playing Forza, they just seem too easy now which takes away the fun in them.

There's only 2 real racing sims around, Gran Turismo will always be king in my book and if Sony pulls the same BS Microsoft pulled a lot of people will miss out on the big 2 racing sims. I would like to see Nintendo get an exclusive racing sim too, they are getting project cars (already on PC IIRC) but I haven't really been paying attention to that much so I don't know what it'll be like.

Right now Sony has seem to have made a blunder almost, they didn't bother to have a version of GT6 to be released along with the PS4. Hopefully it will have none of that Standard and Premium car bullsh** when it does come out on the PS4, or else they are doomed.

Oh man, I forgot about Project CARS, I saw a trailer for it a couple months ago I thought it looked nice, then I found out it was going to come out  in 2014.

Racing sims are pretty hardware-intensive, so it would have to be a Wii-U exclusive, not a crappy port from Xbox or PS4. Also, hardcore racing sims only really work with a wheel, but I can see how useful the Wii U pad's screen would be for an F1 game, for example.

Of course they work with a controller, but you can't play a proper racing sim properly without a wheel. I'm talking rFactor or iRacing here, not 'simcade' games like Forza, which are a half-assed attempt at a simulation.
