Does anybody else have a Wii U? I bought the Zombi U bundle (a deluxe Wii U with Zombi U and a Pro controller) about a month ago and love the thing. The software lineup is a bit weak right now, but I've got plenty of Mario to fall back on. Plus trolling on Miiverse is a blast!
Anyways, you should add me if you have one. I believe my handle is Kel C Grammer.
-
Planning on getting one soon. Planning on getting the ZombiU bundle if they still have it around the summer time.
-
I will get one when Scribblenauts Unlimited is released, and I will probably get ZombiU at the same time.
-
I got a Wii, a PS2, a N64, and recently a 360. Not getting an other console for a while. :P

You should just get it on Steam, it's available now.
Me, I'm waiting on Pikmin 3

I would, but it's one of those strange things where I would prefer to have it on a certain console, just like when I got Dark Souls for the PS3 despite having an Xbox (and having said Xbox in my room as opposed to in the living room, like the PS3 is). If not for that, I would've had it on release.

In America. They have yet to release the EU version due to some problems that, as far as I know, have yet to be disclosed, but whatever they are, Scribblenauts Unlimited is not out on either the 3DS or WiiU over here.

I have 1, currently have Tekken Tag Tournament 2 and Monster Hunter Ultimate along with some smaller games like Nano Assault Neo which looks spectacular btw.

Oh, weird. Must be a licensing issue.

I think I remember hearing somewhere that it is down to localisation standards. What that actually entails, and why it would take them several months to sort it out, I don't know.

J has a Wii U.
I've got Mario Bros U and Lego City Undercover, among other things.
It's an amazing system, TBH.

Indeed, people are only harsh on it to try and look cool. The controller is so comfortable, I find it better then the normal PS3 and 360 controllers and I don't know why people mock it's size when it's basically a handheld (PSP/PSV) sized control with the extra function of a touch screen.
I can't wait to see what Watch_Dogs is like on the Wii U, I actually posted a screenshot of what I think it'd be like:

You guys might like to revisit this old topic with fun mock-ups for the Wii U (I posted the above mock-up and many others here):

But it's still non-realistic because the game is in 3rd person :dumb)

Virtual Boy U Colour?
(https://gametechmods.com/uploads/images/40076Virtual Boy U Color.jpg)
Realistic enough?
-
I want to see that happen now
Just imagine if there was something like that for the DS or PSP :dumb)

Realistic enough?
no you need to have the virtual boy part have the same eyebleed-inducing red and black screen
-
Speaking of Virtual Boy, why aren't Virtual Boy games on the 3DS Virtual Console?
-
Maybe because as well as being headache inducing, they weren't that good? Every game on the Virtual Boy either had a better console port or a more acceptable equivalent.

Well from what I heard, Virtual Boy Wario Land was quite decent at least.

I've played a few of the Virtual Boy games, and they were all pretty good. Wario Land was phenomenal, Mario Clash was an interesting take on the classic Mario formula, and Mario Tennis was the first of the series!

^ the video game collectors I watch on youtube seem to love the Virtual Boy too. Also here is some interesting news:
Amazon UK - Wii U sales skyrocket after Xbox One reveal, lower price offer:
- 875% rises
- held the #390 position before the conference
- has no risen to spot #40

Edit:
ZombiU also increased by 250%
NSMBU increased by 111%
MH3 Ultimate increased by 92%

They also cut prices on a bunch of games too.
Inb4 deeper price cuts after E3.

So... Guys... What do you think about the little message board-type things each game has?
Lately I've been goofing around on the one for Megaman X, and more or less, that board is just for shenanigans.

It's great, hopefully we will be able to "record" gameplay in the future and put it up on Miiverse, Sony and Microsoft are going to do something like that but I don't think each game will have communities like on the Wii U. Soon we'll be able to create our own little communities in each game community and have them code-protected (optional I believe) so you could host tournaments and such.
I can't wait until E3 to see what Nintendo presents, I'm actually hoping for some new hardware related news like 2+ gamepad support, ability to buy gamepads (hopefully it's under $100) plus a new multi-touch gamepad. I also can't wait to see more of the games like X, Wonderful 101, SMTxFE, Retro's game and Super Smash Bros etc.
I hope Pokemon X/Y also get announced for Wii U, doesn't have to be the same date as 3DS just give it to us at some point in the near future it would really help sell the system.
Also if you want to add me on the Wii U to your friends list my NNID is wwe2005.

I love Miiverse! The web version just received an upgrade, btw. https://miiverse.nintendo.net/

Nintendo showed the best games for me at E3, lot's of variety and quality. I can't wait for Smash Bros, W101, X, Bayonetta 2 and I know Super Mario 3D World, Mario Kart 8 and Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze will be great for the Wii U's sales.
I wonder if there's any unannounced games left for Nintendo at this E3, DK was the only one we didn't already know about so maybe they are holding something back. There are still some "TBA" and "Nintendo Game" on IGN's schedule, I forget how E3 goes after the big press events... will there still be anything on stage or is it just show floor stuff?

Still hoping for F-Zero U...

Game looks gorgeous plus you will be able to share video highlights of races on Miiverse. Here are the bullet points:
- team wanted to add something entirely new, which is what lead to anti-gravity
- tires transform to allow for racing on walls/ceilings
- unique course that looks like a mobius strip
- this lead the team to title the game Mario Kart 8
- use Miiverse to talk to other players
- host tournaments, set rules, play with friends and others
- 12 karts can compete in a match in local and internet modes
- game creates 30 second highlight reel showing best moments of the race
- share replay data on Miiverse
- service is called Mario Kart TV
- watch replay data here
- show off victories to others as well
- consider the game a multiplayer communication tool
- want to make the game so people around the world can play together and have more fun
- controllers supported, Wiimote/Nunchuk, Wii Wheel, GamePad
- excited to be working in HD
- think the visuals help immerse you even more
- also supports 60FPS
- want to keep 60fps for 2-player mode
- want it to be the definitive Mario Kart

I actually think that using another DK game is pretty bad idea since Nintendo is effectively appealing to the same bracket twice with two fairly mild platformers; unleashing a Metroid game instead would have been more advisable since then they'd have more variety - sadly, having two of your big guns as platformers doesn't really work, hence why Super Mario Galaxy 2 didn't hit home as hard as the original, what with NSMB: Wii around at the same time.
-
Two new Mario games look quite cool, but I'm not forking out for a new console just to get two games.

Metroid games simply don't sell as well as Donkey Kong. For example, Donkey Kong Country Returns (Wii) sold roughly 5 million copies, whereas Metroid Prime 3 sold only 1.3 million. Besides, Retro wanted to do Donkey Kong. A game built with love is going to turn out much better than a game made by a developer who is just going through the motions.
