I have one game for 3DS. It's called "Work to make money to support myself and not buy overpriced sh** from Nintendo that I will never use".

Just saying right the three games I proabaly enjoy the most on the 3DS is Kid Icarus Uprising, PES 2012 and Tekken 3D.
However my 3DS is randomly shutting down so I could use some help in this topic.

Actually, I doubt there are many people who bought it purely on the merit of the 3D gimmick. I sure as heck didn't I looked at the list of games that were set to be released and just went 'I want that, I want that, and that one, that one too *pre-orders console*' and I haven't regretted it. Sure, I don't really use the gimmick (I usually can't see the 3D for one reason or another, I really only use it during cutscenes). Anybody who bought it for the 3D really didn't think things through, I looked at it through how much play time I would get, and I have currently got 71 hours....out of Street Fighter alone, with everything else, I have spent a grand total of 296:26 hours on my 3DS (assuming my maths is correct (excluding the time I spent looking at the activity log while I did the maths)).
So yeah, in short, it is highly probable that he bought it for the games with the gimmick as something else (it may have been a contributing factor, but it is probably not the only reason (I assume this from all the games he has). And if I am wrong about it, then RPJK will probably correct me.
Stop the nintendo bashing please. IF you don't like Nintendo then get out. You don't have to post in this thread if you don't like it.

It's more 3DS bashing than Nintendo bashing.

The reasons why I got the 3DS is 1. needing to update and if you don't update you get left behind (For example my friend likes living in the 60's but hes my age don't know whats up with that). We are living in a changing, growing world in which one day it will all collapse whether its in my lifetime or my kids or whatever so its best to update and get the latest technology while you still can.
2.I want to get games like Kid Icarus: Uprising, Mario Kart 7 and (in July) Kingdom Hearts: Dream Drop Distance
3. I don't care about the 3D gimmck because its useless as a purple monkey dishwasher but I wanted to update and have new games so thats why I have the 3DS.

Bold text proves your own stupidity...
Go to heck you pessimistic idiot.
I bought one back in August to capitalize on Tax Free Day, but haven't bought any 3DS games yet. I've asked for the 9 Doors and Paper Mario games for Hanukkah so those two will probably be my first.
Update: I gave away Nintendogs, and bought a few games and received a couple for Christmas. My collection now consists of the following:Adding to that list:
Super Mario 3D Land (Pre-installed)
Mario Kart 7
Steel Diver
Art of Balance Touch (eShop)
Donkey Kong '94 (Virtual Console, GB)
Metroid II (Virtual Console, GB)
Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening DX (Virtual Console, GBC)
Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D
New Super Mario Bros. 2
and a handful of demos
Sonic GenerationsAdding to this list-
The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D
Super Street Fighter IV
Virtue's Last Reward, the sequel to 9 Persons 9 Hours 9 Doors
Is anybody else going to get Animal Crossing next month? If so, we will need to add each other.I've been questioning getting it after loyally buying the first 3 versions. There were some features of the Gamecube version that I wasn't happy they took out. What are the improvements going to be?
(I do like Animal Crossing, but on the other hand, I might not play it much... then my town will be infested with weeds).I know the feeling- just wish they'd hurry up and invent Ride-on Lawnmowers.
In this game, you're the mayor. Other than that, you can swim, you have a real body that can be customized a bit more, you have a lot more housing options, and Tom Nook has become a full-time real estate salesman (his kids run the shop). Is anybody else going to get Animal Crossing next month? I ordered a 3DS game now. Fire Emblem: Awaking. For me this is the first 3DS game that's actually worth getting that CAN be played on a EU 3DS. All other 3DS games available ATM didn't pull my attention in even the slightest way.Not even Mario 3D Land and Luigi's Mansion? Both of those are some of the best games I've played.
Two other titles I'm looking forward to is Bravely Default and Pokemon X/Y (me getting Y version).
Especially not the overdone Mario stuff. Ugh. I don't give a flying plop about most typical Nintendo titles.Get out.
There are a lot of Mario games, but 3D Land is probably one of the best. Hell, I like it more than Mario 64.Ah, 3D Land's a really good one. Can't believe I hadn't checked it out until fairly recently actually- the Statue Tanuki costume's fantastic.
It was great in Super Mario 3 as well. There are a lot of Mario games, but 3D Land is probably one of the best. Hell, I like it more than Mario 64.Ah, 3D Land's a really good one. Can't believe I hadn't checked it out until fairly recently actually- the Statue Tanuki costume's fantastic.
Aye. Too bad they were so rare there, though. It was great in Super Mario 3 as well. There are a lot of Mario games, but 3D Land is probably one of the best. Especially not the overdone Mario stuff.Mario has a lot of games, yes.. but they have different types of games in the Mario franchise and it has been around for 30 years.
To be honest I sort of agree with Powerrave here, Nintendo does kind of need to stop with this New Super Mario Bros stuff and make more varied titles, seeing as about half of their stuff is practically the same game, both mechanically and thematically, only with some different levels (which are still tired) and some different bosses (which appeared in the old games so they aren't really "New" either). Time is better spent on properly getting their spin off franchises or, I dunno, METROID going, instead of producing quite so many identikit titles. Stuff like Super Mario 3D land is good, likewise with the Mario And Luigi thing they're working on atm, so more of that would be preferable to yet another 2D platformer that doesn't quite match the quality of their old ones. This I can agree with. As much as I liked NSMB and that it was a good idea at first, the novelty's kind of worn thin now. It's had its time, so I think Metroid and The Legend of Zelda deserve a bit more of a focus, now.

It's not like Call of Duty where they make the same game every year.

You realize that Nintendo is a large developer that's capable of working on various projects at a time, right?
I agree with you two. IMO Nintendo needs to give the Mario franchise a complete year off and focus on giving its other and old franchises such as Earthbound, Metroid, Kirby, Kid Icarus, F-Zero and few others more attention otherwise the entire Mario franchise will be milked dry soon.
Oh and since we are on the topic of Mario, I LOL'd at Mario & Luigi Dream Team UK release date. Anyone who can guess why gets a picture of a cookie.
the 3DS is for noobsObvious troll is obvious.
but if i do get it will only be for the new pokemon games
Obvious troll is obvious.I hate posts like that.
