OK this game is fun as heck.

Protip: name your character something like "a black man" or "the Jew". Whenever someone suspects you, they will get called racist and be lynched. You will be surprised at how well it works.

I have found that keeping quiet is the best strat in this game. Unless you're playing with mates, which is great fun.

Anyway, I would want to make a tier list for ToS just because. Now, the roles are based on how much it can not only help your win, but how it can change the whole game. Sure, Investigators can figure out roles, but the BG's, when hidden, can save the mayor, jailor, and more roles.
Townies:
1- Jailor, Veteran
2- Bodyguard, Vigilante, Investigator, Sheriff
3- Doctor, Retributionist, Lookout, Escort
4- Mayor
5- Transporter, Spy, Medium
Mafia:
1- Godfather, Mafioso
2- Janitor, Disguiser, Blackmailer
3- Framer, Consigliere, Consort
Neutral
1- Serial Killer, Arsonist
2- Amnesiac, Survivor
3- Witch, Executioner, Jester

So I get into a game with 4 mafia, two anys and like 8 random town. Both Any roles are Mafia, and we think "sh** this is gonna be easy".

There was a livestream. I got into a dev's gave on the livestream only to lose because there was me (mafioso), an arsonist, and a jester, and the jester kept saying he could win and refused to do anything.

They recently updated the game with a new mafia role: Forger. It can change other people's wills. They also added role scrolls, which increases your chances of being a role, depending on which scroll you purchased (200 points for 1 scroll).

Oh yeah I play this. Not going to post any screenies or anything but I've got probably about 90 games done. Occasionally play ranked but mostly Classic because ranked can be a mess at times (once had a game with 3 Transporters and 2 Arsonists which was a little silly).
Personal favourite classes are Veteran and Framer.

arsonist and serial killer are by far my favorite roles. sk more than arso because it's so fun to write misleading death notes and watch town accuse innocents XD

The ultimate strategy is to buy veteran scrolls, give yourself a name that will mean that people will have a grudge against you from minute zero (feel free to scrape the literal bottom of the barrel for this - I know it's 2015 and all that but the Salem community are idiots and will still single out people called Justin Bieber so I often go for that) and then go on guard first night. Play your cards right, get lucky and sometimes you can knock out many of the killing roles on the first night.

I've got an entire list compiled of the banned and filtered words I've found. I've also found that the chat lags for about 3-5 seconds every time you send a message, which I assume has to do with the filter.
Looks like they've also revamped the report system, which used to be completely pointless.

The ads don't seem to affect the gameplay imo. As for the reporting and filter, this mainly seems to be them trying to get rid of trolls more than anything. I've been waiting for the report system to be implemented for a while now.

Uncheck that. It seems that they re-enabled the chat filter on everyone's accounts when they implemented the new system.
But there are still the several words that will get your account suspended if you try to use them too many times.
