If you could choose the next game which GTM to move onto after RA2, which one of these 10 would it be?

You picked a bunch of random games out that are nothing like Ra2 and can't be compared.
Transformice? REALLY?
-
Yes.
-
Actually, I picked the top ten 'red gear' games on the Games Section.
-
So you assume that we all like red gear games? Transformice last time I checked already had there own forms going up. RA2 is what this is already about. I honestly do not see the point of this question.
-
eh, go play Robot Wars Extreme Destruction for an hour and you will love RA2 all over again.
-
Super hard mode: try and beat Shunt.
Trust me, it's impossible.
-
None, there are plenty of communities for other games out there.
We need to stick to our guns.
-
Why move away from the best game ever made?
Most other games are stupid and boring anyway. Just finger dexterity and time management.

I KO'ed 3 house robots in the same match :gawe: (I forgot what they were, probably Shunt/Matilida/Sgt. Bash)
... On the GBA ED  (Then there's beating Sir K and Dead Metal as well along with 12~16 competitors in the Onslaught mode on Advanced Destruction)
Back on topic... none of them. (School blocked site anyway)

my cousin and I one time decided to enter a 1 on 1 matches then ignore each other and attack the house robots
1 match I oota'd them all and other match my cousin got Sir Killalot oota with Razer... yeah... thats right :P

Proves how realistic RW: ED is. They definitely got the bit right when WBC's wheel touches the arena wall...
W00T!!! 900th Post!!!

Huh?
Anyway, I hated that game, the controls were the worst i've ever seen (the game punished you for having anything above a slow drive motor) and the "botlab" was horendous.
I always wanted to find a better alternative and had looked many times over the years, infact it's a wonder I didn't find RA2 sooner TBH

If you fight shunt in an official fight it's much more difficult. Both of his scoops count as weapons, so you can't damage him by hitting them. This means the only exposed areas are his sides, which are puny. He's so fast that flipping him in a 1v1 is almost impossible, even if you can get your flipper under his scoop without breaking it. Plus, I think he can self-right.
On an unrelated note, I've won a game against one of my brothers by judges decision even though one of my two drive motors was broken. I could only drive forward and backwards and run away from him as a result of the broken motor.
Tell me how many things are wrong with the above sentences. They're true from what I can recall of the game.
-
I enjoyed it, at least.
Does that make me the only one? :approve:

Yeah. I tried playing it again about, well just before I joined here actually.
It wasn't too bad early on where most of the bots sucked and you couldn't accidentaly make a bot too fast, but the judges decissions were always terrible.
I lost one of them, gave up and went off xbox live (I was giving some of my mates a commentary on what the game was like).
I then searched for RW videos because I was feeling nostalgic and accidently clicked on one of resseti's videos instead....

I liked AoD better, which I got first. At least wedges got under other robots.
-
Although to be quite honest, I recently installed it again, and I still kind of like it. I mean, it still brings a smile to my face to flip Diotoir over and shove it onto the flame grill, with Refbot turned off :approve:

There's that, but really, the power supplies on the replicas in AoD were about as reliable as an oven rack made of butter :dead:
But I've still got that one on my old PS2, and once I look past the power failures, it's also a pretty fun game which I like to play once in a while.
-
Just use a gas engine like I did.
-
I'm going to recruit my friend to the forum who will play the game.

I guess my adding of "GBA ED" was too subtle ;)

The GBA version must have had the best graphics of its time, it even had a good physics engine!

Just use a gas engine like I did.
You can't edit reps, though. I recall once playing as Chaos 2, immediately flipping over my opponent, attacking Matilda, and my power source dying...in the space of twelve seconds :ouch:
-
I had to uninstall AoD to make more room on my PC.

noooo... unless that means I am not allowed to tell my own stories about the PC version?

Ah, but you quoted mine as if it was still entirely relevant regardless of that it was the GBA version :P
