I heard it's one of the most improved and awesome Super Smash Brothers games I've ever seen. I want to get this game sometime in the near future when I get myself a Wii someday.

I know I'll probably get some major flaming for this, but the SSBB is overrated. This game in particular doesn't seem very innovative, aside from the graphics. I'd prefer to have just, say, Fox, instead of Fox, Falco, and Wolf, because they're all basically the same. I liked the original one for the fact that no two characters were the same. Plus, this game has pretty hideous loading times, and the disk is really sensitive to scratches. Mario Kart, for example, is a much better value, for essentially the same concept: a bunch of Nintendo characters get together in some competition and fight it out. I may be slightly biased here considering I'm a racing game fanatic, but that's my two cents.

You don't like having three characters that are similar but you like a game where every character is exactly the same except for their weight class?

Mario kart. There's at least some variation there. I'm not dissing SSBB only for clone-ish characters, I'm just saying that's a flaw.

In Mario Kart none of the characters have any special moves (excluding Double Dash's unique weapon thing), they only look and sound different. Fox, Falco, and Wolf at least have actual gameplay differences. Not that I'm dissing Mario Kart though, I find its online gameplay more enjoyable then Brawl's.

Except in the Wii version characters adds points to certain stats. But I am more of a Brawl fan.

My point is that the vehicles are different, the characters are just skins you can pick. Aside from a different gun and final smash, Fox and the others seem pretty similar to me though. Maybe I just suck at Smash Bros. Also:

I have the game next to me, I tried switching between Koopa and Toad both on Standard kart L, the sliders didn't move.

Why doesn't it mention these things in the player's guide?

Are you sure you're not thinking of Double Dash? I think it happens there. But where are you getting "+2" from? All I see are arbitrary lengths of filled in bar!

I think I know why, the characters own personal stat is called a 'Secret Stat' and you can only tell when you are in a race. Thats why some characters drive different.

Wait, weren't Mario and Luigi exactly the same (except for their fireballs and taunts) in the original?
