lol yeah roaches are nice especially against people stupid enough to not get detectors, I usually skip roaches and go for hydras or mutas after lings so I have some anti-air and then I just pick either power (hydras) for brute force or mobility (mutas) for annoying gatherers.

I should have just paid for convenience :P I wont take any chances with Heat of the Swarm.. im preordering the bloody thing as soon as I can.

yeah I am sick of terran :P I snap up some other new terran users easy enough but it falls to easy to zerg and protoss.. a noob with protoss could probably hold off a marine rush with zealots

You just need to learn the fastest way to get marines. In the economy achievements there are some that are meant to be the best way to rush with the 3 different races (like the zergling rush one I have).

I will help you out with basic starting build orders when you get your copy and we can always have games online to test out strategies and build orders.

Zerg are great we get mind control now, that same unit has an Area of effect damage over time ability (that might stack) and the ability to spawn infested terran.

I know how to as I have used marine rushes to victory before.. but all it takes is zealots to be constantly built while the marines take there time breaking rocks and they have enough to hold off no problems.. I hate maps with the path blockers for this reason :P

oh they are only used in practice league games, they are known as novice maps which are basically 1v1 maps with paths blocked off for easy base defense against rushes.

and what I was talking about is the achievement is actually the best way to get them out fast, with zerg you build 1 drone straight away to have 7 on minerals, wait for 200 minerals then build spawning pool, wait for 100 minerals to get an overlord (while the spawning pool is on the way) and then you can just pump out the lings really early.

I'm yet to try out the marine/zealot rush achievements so I'm not sure how different they are.

FUUUUUU they have been the game killer in all of my losses (except the 3v3 we did... those guys hated me for some reason :P)

I havent played much of SC2 (stupid Dick Smith) but I rushed the computer in the 3 way with Thyrus with Protoss (while they rushed Thyrus :P), the advantage being you dont need to loose a builder for a building, so you can get your structures together really quite quickly.

maybe you should try protoss in SC2, colossus and void rays are their brand new win buttons.. throw them in with DT's and carriers...*shakes in boots*.

Void rays are my friends most hated unit, they can just go around the back and focus down a base in no time and put that player so far behind it would be hard to recover. I also think Void rays are broken because the ability says it powers up the longer it stays on a single unit/structure but for some reason they own my units when jumping from target to target
