Anyone here plays Starbound? This game hooked me good. For those that don't know what it is, it's an improved version of Terraria. For those that don't know Terraria, it's a simplified 2D version of Minecraft. For those that don't know what Minecraft is... Deal with it.
You can explore an infinite Universe with infinite solar systems, planets, moons and asteroid fields. Each celestial body is a place full of surprises.

Steam keeps redownloading the Furious Koala update once in a while and it's pretty annoying. >.<
Also I lost my flashlight somewhere and I'm too lazy to find it so I'm grinding for a backpack light hahaha
-
Lol, how did you lose the flashlight? I found a green flashlight so I could give it to you somehow :P

Actually, those are hotfixes for the latest patch. One came yesterday, hotfix 8.1 and another 8.2 today.
-
I have absolutely no idea how I lost the flashlight. I would most likely blame lag since I was in a party of 3, but thankfully I'm not really in need of it now since I'm still building my base full of Apex stuff hahaha
also why are the hotfixes the same size as the actual update this is crazy
-
I've been playing Starbound every now and then but somehow it just doesn't impress me. I prefer Terraria more.
-
uhhh that's because starbound is still in beta hahahaha
but yeah i really do hope for some kind of endgame
that and an easier way to get from tier 2 to 3
so much steel to grind D:

Most people got fooled by the very size of the hotfixes, including you and me for a while. Until I noticed the Starbound folder size. Before the hotfixes it was only 800Mb or so. Now it's 1.88 GBs. Sooo yeah... Apparently they added a lot of stuff.

True but people are complaining that from tier 4 to the top it's too straightforward and needs to be further developed to be as challenging as the first 4 tiers. If it's true and the next tiers are still under development, there will be lot of stuff to grind XD

I'm working on getting back into Starbound, it might just be one of those things that you enjoy more when you are playing with others, or it may just be that I can't find the motivation to get all my stuff again. Especially since I just started a new character and ended up on a planet that has surface lava with most of the actual ground being made out of obsidian which will take ages to mine without a pickaxe, and I'm betting that most of the ore that I need will be in the obsidian. But hopefully I will find a good amount in the ash part.
I stopped before after half of my house was eaten by a meteor which barely scraped my head.
-
That's beyond bad luck, m8
The worst I had was a planet that had no water, just pools of poison and some meteor showers here and there
-
I usually play with my buddies so we picked an Earth-like planet as our base.
And I mean really Earth-like with brown dirt and frequent rain and no meteors as far as I know, plus it has a Glitch castle on the opposite end.
still so much steel to grind D:

It kind of annoys me that you still can't mark the planets you've been on. For the time being, I'm stuck in the same coordinates between sectors so I don't forget on what planets I was
-
Okay, other than the fact that I was able to listen to an entire album whilst mining a silver vein, by some miracle, I found some trees (which can be planted on ash blocks), and slightly further on, I found some cobblestone. Maybe this planet isn't so bad (I was planning on making it my home planet anyway because it's pretty cool (well, boiling hot, but you know what I mean)). I saw falling stars (I think), didn't do any damage, but it was pretty, and made for a cool battle background when I angered five enemies that were guarding a chest and used low gravity to battle them.
It's little things like that that make me love games.
