Post by: FOTEPX on February 19, 2011, 12:40:18 PM: So, any impressive speedruns (completing the game or a level in the fastest time) that you have to your name?

The only imressive one I have is on Sonic Rush. Leaf Storm. 47 SECONDS.

Post by: somestrangeguy on February 19, 2011, 12:50:39 PM: I havent done any speed runs, dont really care to try, but I have seen some pretty nice speedruns to specific targets in different games on youtube.

Example: Spyro 1, target 1000 gems, 2 guys recording at the same time and being in microphone contact, they do a countdown and the winner is the one who gets to the target first.

Try Undercover. Now that was too short :/

Errrr, something I did quickly in a game...

Required a change of pants around 5 min into first playing Doom 3 :P

Spyro the Dragon is the manliest of the 3, because its rather dark at times. AND THE GNORCKS(w/e) USE GUNS AT THE END.
Spyro 2 Ripto's Rage, has the best ending of the 3. Perma-Super Flame is just awesomesauce. ....And Hurricos is just <3
Add to it, Spyro 2 is full of so many glitches and crap, its hard to not have fun with it :3
Spyro: Year of the Dragon, ASIDE FROM BENTLY BOXING, is just a lulz game in general. Especially the final boss, as that's like 1 of the most fun battles ever.

- OSGNSNCNINOIENENNENBBRSO (Own Sphere Grid, No Summons, No Customising, No Items, No Overdrives, Initial Equipment, No Escape, No "No Encounters", No Blitzball, Red Spheres Only) challenge on Final Fantasy X. It requires patience, luck and a calculator.
- Speed run in Final Fantasy X. 15 hours without skipping cut scenes. Quite fast, actually.
- Speed run in Final Fantasy IV. Can't remember my time.

And a few others in games other than Final Fantasy.

So, I've been doing speed runs with this guy on YT on Ratchet and Clank: Going Commando (second game). Our runs were fast, but he has recently discovered a game-breaking glitch and managed to set a world record time of 14 MINUTES. Yes, 14 MINUTES.
