Okay I was playing Super Smash Bros Brawl A while ago and I thought what would be a good idea for the next game so here is what I think:
1. Make it a 3D fighter not 2D (so imagine fighting in places like galaxys from Super Mario Galaxy for example)
2. Have a life gauge not knockback power because it does not make sense when they die and make a weird pattern at the end of the screen.
3. Much longer adventure mode (or have stories from different franchises that intertwine with each other in the end)
4. More Characters like Pac-Man, Toad, Tails, and someone from Square-Enix franchise.
Thats my ideas what are yours.
-
Copyright's up the ass if that happened.
-
What do you mean?
-
I think you've managed to miss the point utterly with ideas #1 and #2
And I thought Brawl already had #3?
I personally would like Little Mac in the next Smash Bros game though.
Edit: I'm not so sure, Enigma, they got Snake in it.
-
I dunno, I think you'd alienate a LOT of people by switching from knockback to life bar - that was something that set it apart from traditional fighting games. And I'm a nintendo purist- I think Nintendo should get the lineup from their own games, even if they have to introduce obscure characters; I mean, not too many people knew about Pit before Brawl but he went over pretty well. There's plenty of untapped potential:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lists_of_Nintendo_characters (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lists_of_Nintendo_characters)
I'd like to see a story mode with enemies from other games, not stuff like Primids that were specifically created for the Subspace Emissary.

Agreed. And there's plenty of opportunity with the assist trophies aswell. Balloon fighters, Muddy Mole, possibilities are endless.

Ok I would keep the knockback power but make it a 3D fighter because you will feel more in the game if you know what I mean.
EDIT I still think Pac-Man and Toad should be in it.
-
Knockback & 3d worlds? That would make it needlessly confusing imo.
-
I think MissingNo. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Missingno.) should be a boss character. And deletes your save file if you lose to it. :trollface

I mean 3D stages.

Point still stands. Games are already hectic enough without adding a third dimension to the stages.
-
True
Ok what else do you think should be in it?
-
I think having the original Mega Man as a playable character would be a good option. As far as third-party characters in SSB go, he's one of the better choices- a variety of potential moves, a long history with Nintendo and its systems, and has been around for a long while, to boot.
-
Oh yeah this reminds me anyone who likes Smash Bros go into your search engine and type in Super Smash Flash because it is a really good game.
-

Erm, Stamina mode?
And I don't see how they could possibly improve on Brawl except just adding more characters and stuff.
I bet there will be an option to play as a Mii though. So technically, you could make your own characters and play as ANYONE (though they will all have the same moves obviously).
-
Doesn't this already kind of exist, what with Final Fantasy Dissidia for the PSP and Ehrgeiz: God Bless the Ring for the PS1?

Brawl was far, far too item based. To this day I have always preferred Melee because of the lack of Smash Balls (lol) and a more logical set of items. Melee was faster paced and more entertaining with a focus on fighting rather than chasing a little sphere going across the stage.
-
I agree - Smash balls were entertaining at first but a real annoyance in combat. My brother and I always played with Smash Balls disabled, and eventually we disabled a bunch of other unbalanced items too (hammers, stars, heart containers, maxim tomatoes, bob-ombs,)
-
It's much like what happened with Mario Kart Wii- the skill factor was taken out with the added abundance of last-to-first weapons.
-
The only thing I want from the next Smash Bros game-
GANON ACTUALLY USES HIS SWORD.
...And keep R.O.B.

Or have him transform between his Ganondorf and Ganon forms, ala Sheik and Zelda. Ganondorf using the Execution Sword, and Ganon using those tridents he had in Ocarina of Time.

^THIS^
Although not the deleted save file thing, that's made up bull

I would like loads of characters including the other bounty hunters from Metroid Prime Hunters, much better Pokemon like Infernape, Raichu, and Haxorus etc.
-
Haxxorus, lulwut?
Wannabee legend, don't belong in there, though i wouldn't be surprised if they did put zekrom and reshiram in there.
-
Since every version of Smash Bros has an alternate version of Link (Young link in Melee, Toon Link in Brawl), the next one should have "CD-I Link" :trollface

Ah, with the better Pokemon part, I was imagining the Ruby/Sapphire Pokemon Trainer being in there, with Blaziken, Grovyle, and Mudkip.

YES. One of his specials could be the Duck Walk!
In all seriousness however, if Toon Link does return, hopefully they'll give him that cool Mirror Shield he had in The Wind Waker.

In my choice of Pokemon Trainer by region here is mine.
Gen 2: Totodile/Bayleef/Typhlosion
Gen 3: Treecko/Combusken/Swampert
Gen 4: Chimchar/Grotle/Empoleon
Gen 5: Snivy/Dewott/Emboar.
Which Would I choose Gen 5 for next Smash Bros.
-
I wouldn't choose 5, the new Pokemon have no character.
-
Aye. And Blaziken would be great to have- I mean, what non-legendary Pokemon could be more awesome than a fiery, martial-artist, bird-like fighting machine that can leap buildings and scorch its foes with flaming fists and feet?
-
a stage creator that doesn't suck, and ridley
-
I know what Pokemon is better than Blaziken, it is...........CATERPIE. In all seriousness though I would say Blastoise actually no he would be second to Blaziken but to me the only Pokemon that is better than Blaziken is Raichu.

Hahahaha......ahhhhh, why no 1st gen?
-
Because there is a First Gen Pokemon Trainer in Smash Bros Brawl.

Okay, but the first gen pokemon are the best?
Why not include one of them anyway?

Not so sure about Raichu due to Pikachu being there, but he'd definitely be a cool addition.

Megaman, Little Mac, Lego Batman.
That's all I've got.
-
Blaziken
B: Focus Blast (Blaziken charges a ball of blue-white energy in its hands, before firing it straight forward in the form of a fast fireball. It can be charged by holding down B to increase its power)
B<>: Blaze Kick (Blaziken leaps forward and throws a fiery jumping kick straight forward, in a simular fashion to the Falcon Kick. By pressing the button combination again as it lands, it can perform up to two more kicks, with the last one having higher knockback.
It can also be done in midair, during which Blaziken dashes straight forward, axe-kicking a foe straight down if they connect with it at this time)
B^: Sky Uppercut (Blaziken jumps into the air, covers its fist in flames, and hits its opponent with an uppercut thrown skywards with force. Does multiple hits, with relatively high knockback and fire damage)
Bv: Counter (Blaziken adapts a defensive position momentarily. If an opponent attacks it with a melee attack during this phase, it blocks the attack and counters with a very quick Fire Punch that inflicts 2 times the amount of damage from the initial attack- IE. 5% becomes 10%, but takes half the regular damage in return, with no knockback)
FINAL SMASH: CLOSE COMBAT
Blaziken dashes forward and attempts to catch hold of the opponent. If it succeeds, it will knock him/her into the air with a fiery Sky Uppercut. Once this happens, it then follows them up with fists and feet ablaze, before laying into them with a fast combination of acrobatic punches and kicks.
It then finishes the attack by leaping back and dashing through them with a massive Blaze Kick in slow motion at an upwards angle, blowing them away with fire damage, and high knockback.
-
I think it should still take the damage it blocked with counter but be a little more powerful, to be a little more true to the real thing.
-
OK, I've changed it so it does that.
