Hmmmmm....I was meaning to try WoW out, but the subscription is holding me back, but the expansions look cool.

You can get a WoW 3 day trial at your local gamestop (that's where I started).

a ten day free pass comes with the disc. you can get that also from said friend.

I did once play wow way too much. I however got it for free from my freind and we played on private servers, mostly on Rockstars Funserver. It was a good server until they moved to 2.0 patch, it became a mix beetween funserver and blizzlike, thats where I stopped.

The thing with Funservers was that you could raid places solo :P
I rememer that one fun time when I soloed Naxxaramas with my lvl 250 Hunter named Hunted (ironic isnt it?)
All the mobs and bosses were lvl255. The thing about bosses was that they were classified as Beasts, so I went ahead and tamed one of them to be my pet! Quess who dominated then!

Yes, but its a funserver. It had donation system too, VIP players were lvl254(because lvl255=immortality, exept on NPC's). They would get custom Items wich are much more cooler looking and effective then the custom ones you could buy normally. They even get their own special island somewhere(dunno where) where they have houses wich they can decorate and stuff.
This all was before 2.0 patch, when they made the switch, everything they had on 1.9 was lost. I dont know how they are doing today, because I left the game and erased all related to it 3 years ago.

That's the problem in Maplestory, you have to uber level grind to gain levels.
