Does someone play Robot wars:Arena of destruction? if does, I want see your ''Killer'' robot!
-
Got the PS2 version, so it'd be hard to show. But it was a small wedge, had like 12 wheels, the large Cassius style flipper, and one heck of a lot of spikes. It very rarely lost.
-
from memory I made a rammer that used heaps of the long spikes making it unable to fit in the pit it also had a touch cutter and could destroy house robots, I enjoyed playing with the replicas mostly
here is a video I uploaded 8 months ago of me flipping all the house robots out of the arena with behemoth
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hquA-f7idhg&feature=channel_page
sadly its fairly low quality

12 WHEELS ?? Did you added inner wheels AND outer wheels ?
Anyways mine was a flipper/rammer hybrid. Titanium armor, the box shaped wedge thing (don't know how it is called, it is the basic rectangle with slightly sloped wedges), with 4WD and the biggest IC motor, and something like 7 short titanium spikes.

Yep, the best of everything and the most. Except weapons.
-
I have the game. I prefer using the replica bots to my own creations. My favorite part is using Behemoth to flip other robots OOTA in the TV studio.
-
Same!
-
I used to play it quite a lot, when I was ten or eleven. My bot actually evolved from the default bot you get at the start of the game, and instead of selling it I just kept on improving it and earning more money by winning.
It was a low wedge with a pneumatic axe and spikes at the back, titanium armour, and those googly bloodshot eyes. It didn't have twelve wheels.
-
Mine was the original bot with small flipping spikes and a hammer

I'm not sure, but I think I uncovered a glitch back in the day where I could have the 6 inner wheels, 6 outer wheels AND tank tracks. Now THAT'S a grippy bot.
-
I done that before cant quite remember how to do it but added a torch cutter spikes and 12 wheels and you have one house robot killer
-
the most effective bot in that game is one with a bunch of spikes and you just spin.
-
I loved making SnS's with piles of torch cutters :D
-
Is in RWAOD Screenshot button same as RA2? Or isn't it Screenshot button?
-
I always used a lifter with a saw.
-
Don't think there is one.
But you can press Print Screen (or PrtSc on my laptop) then go into your image editing software and paste it (ctrl+v)
-
It really work!

This is my Sea Creature, armor is Titanium!
-
I agree with goose use the 6 wheel glitch and a heap of long spikes and spin like crazy

What about this? Hurricane! 8, 30 cm spikes & 2 Torch cutters Armor:Titanium.
-
sns type spinning im guessing ? ever notice how tacky the AI look?
my best was a bot using the rectangle chassis and 2 flywheels, and as many spikes that I could, 6 wheels, fastest drive and spin
my best on extreme destruction was the invertible frame good drive, good wheels and good amour..... thats it... no weapons..... killed everything by dancing around the pit till they fell it the bot was called "Wing It"

Extreme Destruction is so cheap, isn't it? I could dominate a fight to end up losing in the category I did the most in. It's sort of hard to eliminate a bot sometimes too... it makes 6 way battles HELL.
(How the heck is Control and Style judged anyway? I always get 100 in both)
-
yeah it was a little dodgy compared to arenas of destruction, all the robot's went at like bullet quick pace even sir killalot was tearing around like storm 2
anyway here is my best bot, not one loss lol shows the extent of the game
(http://i148.photobucket.com/albums/s36/westcoastdrags/wingit.png)
-
Uh... not one loss... but not one win? I don't see it winning. Ever. In Extreme Destruction anyway. :|
Here's my latest - Thermal - in the grand final, the endurance battle.
Won the endurance battle in 4 tries, in 8:09. (The other 3 attempts - being grappled by Suicidal Tendencies and driven into the pit, bad driving in into the pit and driving over the pit as it automatically went down)
Shunt's damage was caused by me. And me only. (It's all against you in Endurance anyway)
Armor: Titanium
Drive: 6x Dragonvlast 32V motors (whatever they were)
Battery: Fusion Cell
Wheels: 6x Large Stars (inner)
Weapons: Diamond edged Flywheel, x3 Solid spikes, Triple spike
Its pushing power is actually enough to flip bots.

Do you know where to download RWED?

Do you know where to download RWED?
I am NOT recommending you do. Because it's frustrating as heck.
But maybe you could find a torrent site with it on.
-
A friend supplied me with my copy, and yes it does win quite often lol the AI are far to stupid so you sit on one side of the pit with 2 wheels in and the AI will charge and fall right in :-D I also made spinners that spin on one spike point lol but yes it is frustrating especially on the rooftops when the house robots make a random attacks pushing you, the opponent, the refbot off the roof

That never happened for me.
I know all too well of the House Robots shoving you right off. The grappling bots are cheap and decent to claw you and then drive you off (and themselves) into a pit.
The Aircraft carrier stage is fun though. Get them airborne while the ship's in turbulence, and they fly. Eventual win.
-
again just dance around the other side of the hook and the AI drive right on it lol
yeah the crushers like Plunderbird are annoying they grab you and drive off the edge and you get eliminated
Before i got ra2 the game was boring me so I made spinning robots like this
(http://i148.photobucket.com/albums/s36/westcoastdrags/spinner.png)
I made one that span like that for 1:30 minutes :-D
-
I Tried download it from piratebay but I have problems... I am only Downloader and no seeders :(
-
Use Isohunt or Demonoid instead.
Nice bump too.
-
I've never heard of it.
-
I have the one for the gameboy. It's okay.
