Re-Volt is an awesome PC game with RC cars and is moddable, here some links:
Let Me Google That For You:

Wiki Page:

It even has it's own website for mods like custom cars and stuff:
http://rvzt.zackattackgames.com/main/ (http://rvzt.zackattackgames.com/main/)
if any of you guys want to download it i can post a link. :) (it's not illegal btw)
it's my favorite PC game behind RA2.
-
Oh god some of the car designs in this game are total dinner.
-
total dinner?
-
This was my favourite game 3-4 years ago, i created alike 100 tracks and the game was laaaaaaaaaaagy
-
wait it uses 3ds max, the 3d program ra2 uses ? does that mean you could (theoretically) try to import stuff from revolt into ra2 ?
-
I played the arcade version at disney world.
-

Yep.
check this place out:
http://rvzt.zackattackgames.com/main/ (http://rvzt.zackattackgames.com/main/)
it has all the custom cars and tracks people made.
-
I smuggled the only $20 I had to school in 6th grade (6 years ago) to buy this from the book fair. Played it forever. Awesome game. I started a thread for it years ago so I like the nostalgia here.

and from ra2 to re-volt?
-
RA2 to Re-Volt would be easier than Re-Volt to RA2.
but still probably possible.
-
I kinda want to see HNM race against these little RC-cars. That would be hillarious.
-
HNM?
-
Hope No More?
-
Yep.
-
i want Rage 3 in Re-volt ;)
-
It would fly out of the track if there was a jump.
-
Checked out the forum...
The similarities between that forum and GTM are amusing.
-
I just got this. So fun.
And car skins/custom track you guys would recommend?
-
Here are some of the top rated tracks that the guys on Re-Volt Zone Tracks would recommend:

Theoretically, yes. Except, the bot's weapons wouldn't work, most of the bots would have to be limited to 4 wheels and 4 wheels only unless you're pro at coding the parameters, all the bots would have to have wheels that steer or else it risks looking stupid while turning (Mostly like a Gmod vehicle that uses jets to steer instead of the natural system) and most of the arenas for RA2 wouldn't make any sense into Revolt (There's no Combat mode (Unless someone wants to make a mod of one :P))
Meanwhile, the other way around (Revolt into RA2) could work but how many times would you want to use a racing track for RA2? Besides, importing vehicles into RA2 would make no sense because it's all one model, bots are a amalgam (I think that's the right word) of various parts.
Point still remains, you theoretically could, people import things from GTA3, NFS, Carmageddon and all sorts other car-related games into Revolt and it usually makes sense.

On RVZT, look for track reviews with high ratings, those are usually the best.
Quake (http://rvzt.zackattackgames.com/main/comments.php?trackname=Quake) for example, is a beautifully done map based on a building that has been damaged due to an Earthquake. It's one of the best maps to date, the scenery is BEAUTIFUL and the racing flow is amazing.
Helios (http://rvzt.zackattackgames.com/main/comments.php?trackname=Helios) is another map I'd recommend. I don't play it much but it has a very clean racing flow and can be rather challenging at times too. Bit of a boring scenery but you won't notice, you'll be too busy trying to pass a Toyeca or something, lol.
Centercross 1 (http://rvzt.zackattackgames.com/main/comments.php?trackname=Centercross) and Centre Cross Circuit (http://rvzt.zackattackgames.com/main/comments.php?trackname=Centre+Cross+Circuit) are two tracks I'd recommend. The racing flow is not the best, but they're stupid fun to race on.
RCDream (http://rvzt.zackattackgames.com/main/comments.php?trackname=RCDream) is a much less known track, but the racing flow is outstanding and it's very well made, I recommend it.
As for cars, go crazy. There's this person on RVZT named "Halogalanda" or "Halogaland". I don't know his/her gender, but his/her cars are very beautifully done and are fairly fast and fun to drive. I love his/her cars.
Edit: Here's some cars to start you out.
Pole Poz F1 (http://rvzt.zackattackgames.com/main/comments.php?carname=Formula+Pole+Poz) - Pretty fast, overall good looking. Fun to drive.
Phantom Corsair (http://rvzt.zackattackgames.com/main/comments.php?carname=Phantom+Corsair) - Good handling, absolutely beautiful. One of my favorites.
El Nino (http://rvzt.zackattackgames.com/main/comments.php?carname=El+Nino) - One of the easiest cars to drive, albeit being extremely fast. Will turn on a dime.
-
Is there a car pack that re-skins all the cars to look like real cars?
-
I think, but im not 100% sure.
-
Holy carp. I remember seeing this game advertised when I was a kid and I really wanted it, and I kept asking for it, but I never got it. I had no idea it still had an RA2-esque fanbase.
Somewhat tempted to download it and try it out after all these years...
Also, from the wiki page: "The community has recently acquired the source code for the game". ARGH WHY NOT RA2???

RVZT's population of members is really flippin' big
I never would've thought something so simple would take off like that when I played it as a kid. That might be because I was only like 4 or 6 though..

I would, it's a bundle of fun.

Yes! you won't regret it. :)
-
It is a really good game. The first computer game I really got hooked on.
-
Is there a special version that runs on windows 7?
-
You can patch it to run on Win 7
-
Is there a link to the patch?

I got the demo, but it keeps crashing before I start a race. What do I do?
-
Have you installed the W7 patch?
-
Huh, I only found out about this a while ago thanks to LGR:

It didn't work. Can explain it step by step for me?
-
The instructions are on the website, or in a readme that comes with the patch.
-
FFFUUU
Do any of you guys have a link for the game?

:ermm:
You don't need torrents, i had a link of Re-Volt no torrent, no virus, but the link's ESA protected right now. :'(
I'm sorry about that, but if you need it (for some reason) here:

Piratebay = answer to everything.
Oh, and make sure to bookmark that for next time you need some Adobe products abandonware.
-
I was kind of trying to avoid torrenting, but I guess I had no choice :L
By the way I tend to use the domain tpb.pirateparty.org.uk instead, but it's all cool :3
-
why would you torrent free software that you can just find in a google search.
-
bump
Just got this game today and it is awesome.

My Re-Volt will no longer work :FFFUUU
