Thinking about evolving scyther soon

Oh lord, everyone for me at that point was in the late 30s. Methinks I was doing it wrong :P

Got a seadra to 38, thinking about evolving it. Also got a swinub to train up for the last gym.

My scyther is lvl 45/46. Not gonna evolve it. Makes the growth of the speed stat drop.

It also has advantages though. I have lvl 100 Scissor somewhere in Pearl. Can tell you that the onle thing it needs to watch out for are fire type attacks, further, VERY durable. Still, if you want a fast attacker, better keep it a Scyther.

Other news in SS, I was able to do a trade with a friend and now he has Alakazam and I have Gangar. ^_^

Actually, Scizor can be faster than Scyther...just teach it bullet punch, and watch the ownage. xD

Thanks anyway, might leave it 'til Kanto as scyther is doing very well atm.
Then again the moves arent effected so there is no reason apart from stats i'm keeping it :P

your team is only 25 at lake of rage?? I'm 25 in Cianwood, about to challenge the gym. Gastly evolved today, and I cheated and went back to Olivine first to unlock Safari Zone and catch a Murkrow, which is currently lv17.

Also trying to evolve the Eevee Bill gives you into an Umbreon, so that once I catch Skarmory I can swap out Murkrow and still have a dark type :3 Tauros has been tossed in the box

Fearow - 33 (thinking about swapping for togekiss eventually)
Gonna evolve scyther defo before 8th gym, thinking about evolving nidorino aswell.

I only have 3 pokemon worth using though, and Seadra and Misdreavus aren't as powerful as you'd think, and Yanmegas main attacking move is shadow ball...

Why didn't you evolve Nidorino yet? It'll be way more powerful as a Nidoking.
