On the gen5 pokémon that I find cool -

-Emboar, which looks ok. Especially the beard on fire.
-Gigalith, which also looks OK for a Golem expy. Bonus points for knowing a nonghey plant attack.
-Excadrill, for being half Steel type and taking itself for Kamina
-The whole Venipede family, for looking badass from the start UNLIKE most other 3-step evolution families and even unlike it's inspiration, Tyranitar. Even the chrysalis stage looks badass.
-Archeops, for being an archeopteryx
-Ferrothorn, for spiky look.
-Chandelure, just for being a Ghost/Fire type
-Haxorus. Bonus points for having giant axelike mandibles rather than just teeth. Though I have no idea how this is supposed to be a "dragon".
-Druddigon. Now this is a dragon.
-Hydreigon. Cause it has really that final boss appearance.
-Genesect, bonus points for being a steel plated insect cyborg with Frickin Laser Beams.

I don't see where the gen V hatred is coming from. I grew up with mainly yellow and crystal, and the overall formula has changed very little since red and green. If its the pokemon, then sure, its your own opinion. However, in my opinion, Gen 2 had the most dull set of pokemon, even though it included gems like Skarmory, Houndour (etc), Kingdra, Murkrow and Yanma, Umbreon and Espeon, and a couple others. I feel that it didn't bring that much more variety despite including two whole new types. But thats just me.

also trying to get Heracross and Gliscor (yes, Gliscor are in the wild in GenV) right now. Only problem is Gliscor is 5% in shaking patches, which means it's gonna take FOREVER to find one.

In Soul Silver, I'm training for gym #8. Those dragon types can be quite nasty to beat.

The movesets aren't finalized on a lot of them (only Haunter and maybe Ursaring), and I don't really like using Ho-oh since it's a legendary. Probably shouldn't have taught Ho-oh earthquake either, since it's now my anti-electric pokemon, making it a total glass cannon xD
