Am trying to build a balanced sandstorm team.

Base will be Swampert (god damn it is awesum) and Steelix (mostly because Zeta has a Fire/Steel Mega Steelix).

Rule of thumb is Ground/Rock/Steel types as well as the ones who have an ability that makes them immune to sandstorm.

Probably will pick up some cradily and aerodactyl (or archeops) somewhere. Maybe a magnezone as well. Will need a tyranitar, because Hippowdon is just poor.

I think I might have confused the Pimpnite video with this clean sweep:

I remember lolling at this

Naryar, you NEED 6 level 1 rattatas

I saw HoodlumScrafty's video on this. Apparently Altaria will be Fairy/Dragon... I will definitely use it.

The endeavor combo is so easily countered.

so here's my Pokemon Showdown sandstorm team

Tamerlane (Tyranitar) (M) @ Assault Vest
Ability: Sand Stream
EVs: 248 HP / 216 Atk / 44 SpA
Sassy Nature
- Rock Slide
- Payback
- Fire Blast
- Superpower

Sandstorm-maker, also special wall. I don't use it offensively as much as I should, although it has a few ko's on his name.

Khamsin (Aerodactyl) (M) @ Aerodactylite
Ability: Rock Head
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Double-Edge
- Stealth Rock
- Aerial Ace
- Aqua Tail

Extremely brutal with Tough Claws and base 135 attack. Also very, very fast which is why I use it as a sweeper and Stealth Rock user. All of his attacks maim things though I don't use Aqua Tail often... it goes in handy, though.

Saladin (Metagross) @ Leftovers
Ability: Clear Body
EVs: 104 HP / 252 Atk / 152 Def
Adamant Nature
- Meteor Mash
- Zen Headbutt
- Hammer Arm
- Agility

Unconvinced by this one's offensive potential. I use it to both resist and maim Fighting- and Dark-types (which it does pretty well), but I am quite sure it could be more badass than that.

Sand Dollar (Omastar) (F) @ White Herb
Ability: Swift Swim
EVs: 212 Def / 252 SpA / 44 Spe
Timid Nature
- Shell Smash
- Ice Beam
- Surf
- Hidden Power [Grass]

Quite successful, although it tends to be walled pretty easily at +2 SpA. Shell Smash really is awesome, and so are both defenses over 110 in sandstorm.

Mamoswine (F) @ Choice Band
Ability: Thick Fat
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 4 SpD
Adamant Nature
- Ice Shard
- Earthquake
- Superpower
- Avalanche

Heavy-hitter. Maybe I should change Avalanche to Icicle Crash. It still REALLY maims things but it still annoys me to be move-locked. Such is the price of power, I guess. Maybe I should try a Life Orb.

Static (Magnezone) @ Air Balloon
Ability: Magnet Pull
EVs: 160 HP / 96 Def / 252 SpA
Bold Nature
- Thunderbolt
- Hidden Power [Fire]
- Reflect
- Light Screen

Steel-trapper and anti-water pokémon, does it's job pretty decently. Also the obligatory electric type. I am unsure about Reflect and Light Screen though, although they tend to help pretty well.

Overall the team is working pretty decently so far. Fighting-type weaknesses isn't that much of a problem when you have a Metagross and "Super Aerodactyl 1HKO Aerial Ace" in your team.

Why is sandstorm no longer permanent D:<
