RICHMOND

Sam Quirrel wins the pole for Richmond, and he dominates early on. Cars are going 3 wide as well early on, and it proves exciting to watch. Jack Steadman drops from 2nd to 4th early on, but picks up the positions again by lap 22. On lap 32 Alex Valentine retires due to gearbox issues after starting 3rd. Quirrel loses a little bit of his lead to Steadman but never loses it entirely. Green flag stops start on lap 53, and a lap later Matt Armoset and Tim Sauter collide on pit road, and Armoset retires while Sauter goes 2 laps down. A caution comes out on lap 56 for a collision between Ralph Thompson and Cal Spears, and they take Scott McHale, Chase Spader and Jason Chaser with them. Only the 70 and 77 retire however (:FFFUUU). David Juchem leads after stops but Garry Orilla passes him early on after the restart as well as Kerry Grocutt, Jack Steadman and surprise Andrew Baker. Another caution comes out on lap 72 for Rick Metablu spinning John Chan, and the car of Chan collects Ralph Thompson. Thompson takes some hard damage and retires. Orilla opens up a huge lead after this restart and no one can catch him. David Jones somehow drives his way to second. North Star Racing is making a comeback with three cars in the top 15. Max Timber, once 13th, drops to 26th as Orilla continues increasing his lead. Sam Quirrel tries to get second from Jones but drops off with 37 to go. On lap 125 green flag stops begin with Nick Forrest and Timothy Johnson, who both wind up in the top 15 after the stops (both were near the tail end of the field before hand). Orilla loses most of his lead after green flag stops but second place Victer Segal can't get any closer than .997 seconds to Orilla. No one can catch Garry Orilla as he laps cars like crazy and eventually claims the checkered flag. This is the first victory for Team Banana and Squirrel_Monkey this season, congratulations to them!

You were as high as 4th near the middle, honestly. I thought you would at least get a top-10.

Points and maybe Talladega to come tomorrow.

talladega
Cael Ashby started on the pole for the tenth race of the season, and the lead shuffles for most of the race. Marcus Rossi is a huge surprise at the beginning by not failing for once. By 10 laps Cael Ashby has fallen to the end of the pack after starting first. Green flag stops on lap 15 mess up the huge pack and cause smaller packs to emerge around the track. At the front are Jack Steadman, Jason Chaser, Sam Quirrel, Will Harvey and Max Timber. These five swap around for a while until the next wave, which simply causes to eliminate Timber from the front pack. Marcus Rossi moves as high as 7th during this time, actually leading a lap during the stop cycle. Eventually Rossi is randomly screened for drugs, is found with steroids, and is penalized with being replaced with an idiot (not really, I'm just making this up to stifle the boredness that comes with running plate races) and drops back to the pack. More stops on lap 47 of 76, and after this Rick Metablu replaces Jack Steadman up front before the second pack catches the first pack and they run as a group of 11 for a while until the final wave of the stops on lap 60. 6 to go and the front pack runs into traffic (AKA Tim Sauter and Howard Owler) and they block up the front for a lap or two before dropping back. John Chan takes the lead from Will Harvey, hungry for another plate win, with 2 to go and despite the best efforts from his teammate, Jason Chaser, John Chan takes the checkered flag for the first victory by Team Hunger Games. I guess the odds were in their favor. Congratulations to Groudonrobotwars, who ironically isn't around to see the win. lol

I used the export standings feature at the end of the race for results, here they are:

GO WILL HARVEY. 4th place, going great. Shaun McConnell's hanging onto the top end, and Alex & Nick aren't really anywhere.

in about a half hour I will be running Darlington, and will be holding live commentary over Skype while doing the race. If you have Skype I hope you can come on and listen (you don't need a mic, just listen in), if I get good reception from this I could do it for every race from now on.

TP
Darlington results

David Juchem scores his first career pole in a shock. The race barely begins when a huge wreck that involves nearly half the pack starts on lap 4 when both TRD cars (John Mickel and Tim Sauter) collide. Only Sauter and James Stein retire. Ralph Thompson makes an unscheduled pit stop on the restart, putting him a lap down. Timothy Johnson and John Mickel get lapped on lap 14. Marcus Rossi, in last place as always, hits the inside wall hard and retires, but no caution comes out. Jason Chaser, last week's runner-up, retires due to damage on lap 25. Sam Quirrel, leading since the restart, hits the wall trying to lap the slow 2 car of Timothy Johnson again, and Cael Ashby in second hits the wall too, giving the lead to Matt Armoset on lap 28. A caution for debris on the track comes out on lap 30 and Quirrel wins the race off pit road. Mickel retires during the caution as well. Quirrel and Armoset gain a huge lead with Shaun McConnell, on the edge of being two laps down due to an unscheduled stop, leads them but is still one lap down. Thompson collides with Calum Huges, making Huges take a lot of damage to the front and retire. Howard Owler goes one lap down on lap 50. Victer Segal and Chase Spader pass Andrew Baker for 4th and 5th. At this point there is a 4 second gap between 2nd and 3rd. Fleischaker Kapsazinski collides with Owler sending Kapsazinski to the pits. McConnell finally gets passed after being out front for 20 laps. A caution comes out on lap 63 for last week's winner John Chan's spin, which collects Thompson and Raymond Flask. All three retire. On the restart Matt Armoset, Victer Segal and Rick Metablu all pass Quirrel, but those four are alone in front. Armoset has trouble with Bobby McDonald in lap traffic and Victer Seg Cael al tries to pass but can't until lap 88, and Metablu follows. Shane Graysen, Jack Steadman, Will Harvey and Maku Sawaki are involved in a big wreck among others after this and Sawaki's car is flipped after being hit by Harvey (sadly I forgot to save this race's replay) Graysen doesn't retire until his car stops on the course 2 laps later. Timothy Johnson finally retires, he was 7 laps down at the time. Cael Ashby catches leader Victer Segal and tries for the lead, which he gets on lap 123 when Segal tags the wall. On lap 130, green flag stops begin when Segal pits, and 3 laps later a wreck outside pit road brings out a caution and knocks Segal as well as others out of the race and leaves five cars on the lead lap. 6 others also are on the lead lap by being positioned in front of Ashby at the restart. Ashby eventually laps Spader again, but 5 others evade him. Kerry Grocutt tried valiantly for the lead but couldn't get it in the swarm of lap traffic around him. So, Cael Ashby wins his first ever race in the GTM Cup. Congrats to him and MikeNCR for his third win this season.

Out of 18 cars running at the end, I finished 13th...

I was listening to the live commentary but had to leave and miss part of it... What the Hell happened?

Lots and lots of wrecks. You're lucky you finished, your car was pretty well-damaged.
