Since we be spamming, may as well make a new topic for it all together so the other can get back on topic..

Motorstorm is the only reason I want a PS3.. but the Australian Price tag is double you US guys.. and our currency is pretty much even..

So I only have Arctic Edge..

I've tried Arctic Edge and it's is nowhere near the quality of the others. Firstly it was made by other people ans so feels less alive really. I've had the original which was good, especially the desert environment but lack of split-screen was annoying. Pacific Rift is my favorite, it is in Hawaii so ranges from the beaches, to the jungle, to volcanoes. 4 player split-screen is also fun to do (Like crushing your mate in your monster truck). I hope to get Apocalypse when it is released but I worry it deviates to far from the original theme.

hmm amazing discovery you have made.. the PS2 engine isnt as good as the PS3 engine? why would Sony do such a thing with a console released 6 years later? D:

No, not the engine or the graphics, just the feel behind it. I feels badly made (I've played many PS2 games)

Not that I know of.
There is a similar looking monster truck to that but I would have to look through the skins for it.

Ive only played the demo for Pacific rift... but it just feels different from the original Motorstorm. I'm not to sure how to describe the feelings of both games and how they differ. Definitely get the original game if you are to get Pacific rift.

I have got only 1 Motorstorm game and its the origional PS3 one.

It is pretty good but frustating at times when every single thing you can name on the track is against you >_> Including your vechicle.

I have the original and tried the Pacific Rift demo.

Pacific Rift feels very, very weightless compared to the original - it's very easy to flip even a rally car.

My favourite moment in this game is still the first race.

I had done a few preview laps seeing how the track goes and then restart to do the actual race.
During the race however, I kept too close to the left and ended up on the motorcycle path in a Race car!
As the path narrowed into nonexistant, I notice that there is a tree branch sticking out of the cliff in front of me, too late to react to it as the car was already in the air. The brach apperantly was indestructible and clipped the left side bottom of my car causing it to doo a full barrelroll and then land in the mud path and I kept on going as if nothing happened.

Got Motorstorm Apocalypse, finally after a month or two of delays.
Can't unlock anything at the moment due to PSN being down but the Festival is nice to work through.

I played Motorstorm on my cousins ps3, it was awesome (he got p***ed at me for beating all his records) it makes me wish i had a ps3.Games like this shouldn't be exclusive to one console, or even two -_-

Yeah, but unfortunately Sony made it, so it's naturally Playstation only.
Most companies like to promote their own console if they can (More console sales>more game sales)

Motorstorm was the PS3 poster child.. and pretty much the face of the original PS3..

Essentially its Sonys answer to Halo..

Ok S_M you were right, Monument Vally is amazing compared to Arctic Edge.. Took me a bit to get used to it.. unlike Arctic Edge its very easy to destroy your vehicle :P

Havent tried Pacific Rift yet as I need to download the updates and I was itching to play games finally rather then wait..

HOW EMBARRASING!

They're actually pretty good, i used to play Forza 3 all the time until my xbox destroyed the disc.

How does it feel to jump on the Sony bandwagon? Much better than Xbox, IMO.

Well if the demo is anything to go by.. I dont really like Apocalypse compared to PR..

Wont be in any hurry to buy it personally.. feels a lot more like Stuntman Ignition then Motorstorm

Yeah I have had a PSN for years :P I set it up for Ratchet and Clank 3 online..

I just did the set up to turn it into a PS3 ID the night I got the console though

Pacific Rift is best in my opinion whilst Apocalypse is good but in a way that doesn't quite fit with the series.

The Patriot Compadre is my personal favorite vehicle in Arctic Edge. It basically says get the f*** out of my way or get crushed.
