Do not boycott with Street Fighter/Tekken/Whatever. Make another thread for those.

This is a discussion thread about all MK's, from the first one to the official 9th one.

MK2 is what it's all about. UMK3 is awesome too. I like MK9 quite a bit as well, but it's slightly repatitive.

I've not played much of MK9, I only got in one match against my friend at college with a little end of year tourney. He completely slaughtered me on the first match, and just about won on the second (he was playing Scorpion, I was Raiden). The one I have got most play out of is Unchained for the PSP. I also mained Raiden there, could beat arcade with relative ease (at least up until Onaga (I at least think that was his name, namely the final boss of it)). Haven't done much in the adventure mode, enjoyed playing the chess mode greatly, as well as the sort of 2 player Tetris style mode. I should probably play that again at some point so I can actually say more about my experience on it. Although I can say that I have not managed to do a character's fatality yet (probably just not played it enough) and I have made the enemy commit suicide on several occasions, and done the ring based fatalities on countless occasions.
Yes that sequence of words I just said made perfect sense.
