Writing this document about Nintendo.

Basically what I`m doing is making a 5-page document about where and how Nintendo should improve and do in its current situation.
I want your help in discussing what I can do here.

Can Nintendo Adapt? (From the perspective of a Northern Irish teenager)


Nintendo. It’s one of the first things you think of when it comes to gaming. It’s the birthplace of so many beloved gaming franchises such as Mario, Pokémon, Zelda and so many others. It’s one of the oldest companies in Japan dating back to 1889 during the Meji era as well as the country’s third most valuable company. For years it dominated the gaming landscape on and off. However in very recent years Nintendo hasn’t performed at its peak for many reasons. While the 3DS is doing very well the main problem is the Wii U. In recent months I’ve heard people opinions discussing what they hope Nintendo should do about its future IRL and on the internet. The opinions ranges from expanding to mobiles to abandoning consoles altogether and do a Sega (becoming a games-only developer) or keep going as it is. Here I will talk about where Nintendo could go from here and its options. In short do I think Nintendo will Adapt to win this generation and how?

Nintendo has just the least attractive concept of the big 3. theire problem is that most people who play games are Call of Duty palyer. Young kids play it. old kids play it.
they made the mistake to relay to much on theire own company games and not really improve anything there. You have an new super mario... yay jump and run again.
you have an remake of Zeldas Wind Waker... yay remakes. Also they have Mass Effect 3! It`s the 3rd part of a trilogy and you can`t play the first two on that console. it would work for almost every other game but in mass effect you have you save files that matter so why the hell do you only have ME3? Yeah there`s this Comic to get some kind of savefile but that`s just not the same.

What nintendo could do is to jump on the Avangers bandwagon and start a series of gamemashups within theire franchises. Like Link and Samus get teleportet into a dimension that is a weird mixture of both of theire worlds. In another game something simmilar happens to Mario and Kirby. Or Olima and a Pokemontrainer. In the end there`s a final game that combines all the previous ones. maybe even a new Super Smash bros. something like that.

outside of first party games the wii u has nothing to gain the interest of average gamers imo, and nintendo has done a poor job at advertising the console.

wouldn't be surprised if there are still people out there who think that the wii u is just a wii add on.
