Blur and Trackmania aren't real simulations. They're arcade games, toys.

Found a couple cool videos on iRacing's youtube channel. Just some videos from a contest they did a while back.

Another thing I forgot to mention is the live broadcasts of the sanctioned NASCAR Series they run. I don't think you need to be a member to watch them though.

P.S. I just decided "oh screw it". In case you guys are too lazy to PM me, heres my email address:

P.S.S.: If you watch any videos on youtube and see cars disappear when they get airborne in a crash, that doesn't happen anymore ;)

DP: I just read on their twitter that they lowered the prices!

$12 for a month or $30 for 3. Yay!

I won my first race :D

A big wreck took out everyone behind me on lap 6 (I was leading), and the last guy with a chance (about 10 seconds back) wrecked so I was the only car on the lead lap.

It also involved a weird wreck where I car slid down in front of me and I passed clean through the car. The other car started flipping and I just kept driving with no ill effects to my car.

Otherwise, iRacing is back to reminding me how good I am at driving.

I like to buy my games once and then enjoy them as much as I want, not buy the same game every month in order to play it!

By the looks of things I would still prefer Grand Tursmo and Need For Speed series over this.

Sadly, no. At some point last year, they offered a free demo. Tons of people joined and would go into a race and drive backwards and crash and stuff. It kinda ruined the game for a lot of people. They can offer cheap promos ($5 for a month or $14 for 3 months), but nothing free.

Same

Although i would take a different game instead of the need for speed games.

The NFS games are too arcade like for me.

Just found a new promo code. Sign up at this URL: http://www.radicalsportscars.com/racing/virtual-racing

And you get the Radical SR8, and Silverstone Circuit, plus 1 month with basic content for $5.

Warning: You won't be able to drive the SR8 in competitive racing for a while. It is a B License car (Have to go through Rookie, D, and C to get there).

You can always do testing with any car you own though.

But its more stuff and still only $5.

Well I finally made it to Advanced Legends. And entered a practice at the Charlotte Infield Oval. It didn't go too well:

On a good note though, it shows my new paint scheme for my advanced car :D

The Basic Package includes Charlotte Motor Speedway, South Boston Speedway, Lanier National Speedway, Oxford Plains Speedway, Summit Point Motorsports Park, Lime Rock Park, Thompson Speedway, and Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca, and all variations of all of them (15 tracks total).

Lime Rock Park? in Connecticut? I live about an hour from there :D

Lime Rock Park is pretty challenging.
And on another note Badnik, Stafford Motor Speedway in Stafford Springs, CT. is in the sim as well. You have to buy it, though.

Coincidentally, it is the only track in the Advanced Legends Series that you do not start with. So I need it. So someone join with referral thing! That way I have the money to buy it.

@JD: iRacing is doing a deal right now where you buy 1 month and get 2 free. its a good deal, just click on the thing on the main screen of the iRacing site. I will add you as a myRacer too :D

And I will post some more wreck videos. I have bunches.

A bunch are from Oxford Plains Speedway, because you can go into it in test mode and go off the dirt mounds around the lightpoles. (Lightpoles do not affect the car for whatever reason). They make for some great launches and flips.

Edit: I just saw South Boston Speedway in a commercial for NASCAR Home Tracks. It is on during the Modified race at New Hampshire.

Don't forget to PM me for my email address if you are thinking of joining. I need the referral credits!
