Because there is no true thread yet.
Currently in Dark Dawn I'm in the Belansk dungeon, in the room after the psynergy clock thing.
-
I never played the other two (I never even saw them in shops...should probably get an emulator or something), but I have played and completed Dark Dawn. My only real problem with it was that it was way too easy, I didn't get one game over while running through it. Summon Rush the bosses (All Djinnis on standby, use most powerful summons (and yet, somehow, with the nearly no health that comes from having them on standby, I didn't die)).
The puzzles were quite fun as was finding the Djinnis. Not allowing you to go back after passing certain points was a little annoying, but I'm sure they had their reasons. The Djinni system works very well, but all in all, the battles were much too easy, mash attack for main battles, summon rush for bosses. The only one I came close to dying on was the very last boss (only because I forgot the basic rules of RPG games). The story wasn't too bad (I can't really do well at judging stories unless they are very bad).

Completed Dark Dawn and just manged to get it in the shops as preowned. I'll say more later.
-
I completed Dark Dawn twice - I raced chaosmancer the second time, but I think he won (just)
It's way too easy, much easier than the original (You try the original, you'll love it)
Oh, and Ivan looks like a girl XP

this is what I do. It's awesome. Beat Blados and Chalis in like 3 turns thanks to it.
-
Ok Played the Lost Age a bit(Battle music is awesome) and Completed Dark Dawn which is one of the best games I've played this year.
Also is there going to be a Golden Sun 4?

Also is there going to be a Golden Sun 4?
No word of it around the Camelot Beta circuit, but there wasn't any word about Dark Dawn until about a year before release
-
well right now I'm north of Imil trying to get the next Umbra Gear piece. Thank you Echo Gem :P
currently have the Knuckles and Gauntlets (basically the ones in Tonfon and on the lava island)

I LOVE this game.
Well, the original and The Lost Age at least. Dark Dawn was good by normal game standards but didn't come close to the originals.
My favorite strategy in Dark Dawn is giving Sveta Venus Djinni, having her summon Judgment or something, maxing out her attack with Weapon Grace, transforming and then spamming Psynergy Slam. Ridiculously powerful. Summon-rushing may be effective but it's not really fun...

Do yourself a favor, go find the GBA games... they're A LOT harder than Dark Dawn (almost as hard as Final Fantasy V... maybe FFIV level), there are not so many "points of no return" where you can permanently miss Djinni and rare items, the 2D sprite-based graphics are just as impressive as anything in 3D (if not more so) and the gameplay stays pretty much the same (the only significant gameplay aspect that was added in Dark Dawn was the characters' weapon levels and some new Psynergy). I think the story might have been better too but it's been a couple years since I played it so it's hard to judge.

I've been meaning to get the original GS for an emulator one of these days actually, just haven't gotten around to it yet.

I CAN'T BEAT THE CHAOS CHIMERA :rage
-
I was around about level 55 when I beat it, and that was just from mashing the attack button against all enemies I fought, then summon rushing it.
-
wat?
my team is only like lv44 :rage
should I go back and kill more stuff to lvup?
-
I would recommend leveling to at least 50, fortunately, as I remember, in the very last area before you start the battle, it takes like 3-4 battles to level, and there is a relatively high probability of getting reviving items.

if you mean the final boss then the soliders that appear around in the sunlight should provide you with enough exp. they also have a 50% chance of dropping water of life :D
-
really? 50% water of life?!
cool. I mean Matthew and Himi know Revive psynergy if they need to but 50% WoL is impressive.
-
Yeah, all around the last area has enemies that are rather easy to kill and that are great for grinding levels extremely fast. As I remember, it was between 3 and 4 battles to level everybody up.
