I'm not making fun of it. There is no point of riding on top of the Robot since you never do it IRL either.

I don't know much about Garry's Mod, but don't you have a first person view of everything? It would be like Orbit view in RA2 I think.

Depending on what 'arena' that'll be used for the tournament, I assume the mapmakers have made the 'booths' for the GMod roboteers to use to control their bot while overlooking the arena instead of no clipping about the place.

I have created a bot to compete in the heavyweight 'division'

Ladies and Gentlemen, I give you, Mouser! (Basically Series 2 Behemoth & Six Pac from Series 3 mixed together and cheaply decorated as a mouse)

(Yes, that little pink thing at the back is a tail!)

I used the Material tool, the warning stripes are default now since Phoenix Storms props are now an official part of Garry's Mod.

can i get garrys mod for free and am i going t have a hard time figuring out how to build a robot with no halflife or gmod experience outside of playing halflife 1 over lan during my middle school electronics class a decade ago

Downloading the weight tool, switching to the weight tool and then highlighting the bot.
