Such game, very hype, wow
-
I'm just hoping the game is good and the hype is not just hype.
I mean, they transformed their Elder Scrolls series into some scrublord ultra-casual action-"RPG" thing with Skyrim.
Surprisingly fallout has not gone that way... yet. (New Vegas and 3 were pretty damn good)

DOG = DA REAL MVP

I'm not sure I like the changes to the HUD and character design system. Also from the looks of it they might have removed the skill points system.
-
this sh** is cool af
i'm still a little hopeful we get land vehicles tho.
'splorin is fun and all but there are times where i think cars or even a bike would be a godsend.
Aside from that, liking what Bethesda is bringing. No online, which I think is good. BUT if they did, I'd like having it be only one outside player join you for co-op stuff ala Saints Row. A large online server would absolutely suck.
The combat is cool, not entirely sure if I like how outlandish and wacky the weapons have gone, but eh.
Also wondering if they made Power armor OP on purpose. would like to be able to wear leather armor but still be able to survive a raider camp.
-
Power armor is kinda supposed to be OP. Unless you go against the heaviest weapons (mostly the big laser/plasma guns and the obligatory gatling laser), where you take damage and it's honestly not OP, but anyone who is not in power armor just vaporizes.
Oooh them fallout 2 days.
Also yeah there's that Mad Max/FotNS feel to wearing leather in postapocalyptic settings. But leather is just hard mode. Maybe a perk that makes light armors better ?
-
They sorta had that in new vegas with the perks that gave you bonus DT

dude i wore power armor through my first playthrough of FO3.
If it worked better I did not notice. I found Leather armor more useful for me since I use stealth more often than not

So we have a trailer and gameplay footage for it... Any comments and who else has Pre-Ordered the Pip Boy Edition?

Melee Weapons and Unarmed are the best weapon skills.
Big Guns and Energy Weapons are OK because they have some nice toys in it. But less viscerally satisfying (and not to mention less manly) than the two above.
And I suppose it is ok if you use stealth to kill opponents in melee, like a ninja. Otherwise...

DEATHCLAW GAUNTLETS MASTER RACE
Seriously, those things are so much fun to use. I still need to buy the rest of the DLC for 3...

The experimental MIRV is the manliest weapon

Unarmed and Melee I prioritize. Never leave without my bladed gauntlet, or in 3's case, power fist.

Ahem. The Deathclaw Gauntlets are kinda sorta better than the Power Fist. Fite me.

for all the effort needed?
the blueprints needed to gather it so that it doesn't start out with pathetic CND?
the ravenous monsters needed to be slain?
yea no.
Power fist can be found anywhere, heck there's a full CND one found in the slaver camp. A quick steal.
it is a cooler weapon, but the effort needed is a little too troublesome imo

The shotgun fist from New Vegas is far superior.

huntin it down right now. In The fort bout to put a bullet in Ceaser's head. Hope to get on on one of Ceaser's guards.

I almost always go for stealth melee. Sure I always have ten pistol, five assault rifles, three rocket launchers, two gatling lasers and 1500 pencils, but I never use them, I just walk around getting annoyed at being overencumbered. I wonder if they will give you the option to kill children at the cost of a perk in this one.

Or you purchase The Pitt and you do the main questline, getting a pair for absolutely free.
