Dueling Network
« on: July 22, 2014, 11:22:15 AM »
Anyone here play Yugioh? Or go on Dueling Network? Well, here, you can discuss your decks, duels, failz, winz, epic plays, best games, and anyone who like to play. This is an anytime-thing, not like Game Night or Tetris Tourney so it wont interfere. (Sadly, I feel me and Yug1Tom are like the only ones who play)

Also, if you're new to Yugioh, and would like to learn, come ask me (I've been playing for more then 9 years. Yug1 probably played longer, but I'm like always here.

Mostly a lurker and Sm4sh Bros. player nowadays. :3

There is a yugioh thread, so I know quite a bit of people on this forum play yugioh but just not DN. I, personally have gone off it (but I return to it no and again) as I have found the wonderful automated dueling system which is DevPro. Have you heard of it? With DN, you more often than not get people arguing over rulings, so admins have to be called in (and that takes 5 hours in itself), so DevPro's automated dueling system really proves to noobs/kids that think they know how to play that they really don't know how to play the game properly...

...

Besides all of that, I am willing to play anyone that invites me to game.

Edit: Oh yeah, you're right, I have played the game since the cards first became available in the UK. Since 2002? I might be wrong... Anyway, that would make it 12 years.

I have heard of Devpro, but I just HATE the "will you do this" or "would you like to activate this card?" That's why Dueling Network is for us pros, and this thread is just for Dueling Network, instead of Yugioh in general.

I suppose the activation windows are annoying but if you played any of the yugioh PSP games, all you have to do is hold down O (or in this case, right click) and then the window won't popup. And you say that DN is for pros but you see a lot of little kids on that site.

Same here. DevPro is much better and it reminds me of my PSP days. Anyway, I should stop talking about DevPro on a DN thread.

Here's something on topic. I remember playing a dude who said he beat an admin and it turned out he had a deck of 60 running nothing but normal monsters. Not a 'funny' encounter really, just goes to show what some kids say nowadays to get attention and recognition.

God I miss YuGiOh. I was there at the end of the original era and the start of the GX era. Have the rules changed or are they still the same?

(to kill343gs) 60 card? Not the best decision.

I like to run the old decks or decks that no one really uses (I'm totally not a conformist, dude  :laughing.) I run a 40 card Rainbow Dark Dragon-Normal-Dark-Heart of the Underdog-Veil of Darkness Deck atm... Yeah, don't see much of them, do you?

Can't draw on the first turn and there're new ways of summoning now, Synchro, XYZ and Pendulum.

ive been playing for like 4 years now i know how to make a deck consistent. 40 cards duality upstart reckless one day of piss etc.

just wanted to figure out what archetype could support the idea best, and with all the controlled milling chaos dragons have it seemed like the best option. 60 cards for dragons allows you to do a lot of different stuff. blue eyes with triple maiden. all four dragon rulers. of course BLS and sorcerer, lightpulsar and darkflare, dark armed, etc. triple tour guide with triple kuribandit as a target. dragon shrine at 3, so you dump a blue eyes and then an eclipse wyvern because youre dumping  a normal monster first. its about as consistent as 60 cards can be.

I run Hieratic D Rulers and Fire Fists, A Heroic OTK Deck, and an incomplete Sylvan deck. I'm in the process of building an Evolsaur/tile deck. I mainly do Devpro because I can't stand having to constantly explain to people what effect i'm using on DN.

I play XYZ Zombie Swarm, but back then, I used to play (and sometimes do) play my Cyber's.  :gawe:
Heck, I play banned cards for fun to know how it was like back in those days (man, it was better back then.)
