Well guys, I found THIS in the manual:
"This PS3 has LIMITID backwards compatibility with PS2 games."
So my PS3 has BC?

You would have a second Gen I mentioned above.. software emulator in the PS3 OS that was limited and buggy lol

You actually would've been better off buying a current gen ps3 & a ps2 as it is actually cheaper than the $300+ price point of the older ones (A mistake I learned the hard way a couple days ago). That is unless you got it when the backwards compatable ones were still being sold. Then my advice holds no meaning

Exactly what I did.. instead of running around trying to find an old fat one just brought the latest model slimline and have a PS2 handy for any old school play, the slimline PS2s dont really occupy much space..

Same with me really. I have a PS3 slim and have my old PS2, also slim. Such a small thing, so much epic. Just a bit too bad that I can't connect it to my HD screen here on my room where my PS3 and PC are. Otherwise I'd have it here too, along with my Wii and my NES.
