Also, do you think anyone else has a copy of the game with some of the online uploaded zooks on it? Would be interesting to find some of them.

I got a few of them before the site got removed from CBBC. I don't have a lot, however.
Well, I say that, I have a lot of the TV show contestants and a large portion of the House Zooks on my game too.

EDIT: I can't get the old Zook kit to work (I can, but essential parts are missing), but I DID get the contests from the old Zook kit to work in SR. They don't say who's won (you'd have to figure that out for yourself) but they play OK. Not perfectly, but OK.

By the way, has anyone noticed the contests that don't appear whatsoever in the Zook Kit? There's Zook In a China Shop and the old Zook Tag included in the contest pack, but they don't appear in game.

I know this is a double post, but I noticed people were having problems getting the download of Bamzooki SR to run. I found a site that appears to have a download for the game. http://bamzooki-sr.software.informer.com/

If that doesn't work... I could try uploading my copy, or maybe the installer.

Oh, and also, here's a video of a bunch of Zooks made by me that may or may not be entered into some of the teams.
Note that I said may or may not. A lot of the really good ones won't be entered, so don't be disheartened about entering a team.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4ZOqvTVNu48&feature=youtu.be#

In this video;
An Angel
A Devil
A Riot Shield on legs
A Zook version of my "Wings of Fire" Stock Robot
A Panic Attack 3 replica
A Creeper replica
A Zook with a spinning weapon
A Missile that's too big for the contest table
A King Zook V3 clone
A Zook based off of my GTM user picture
A Dizzy clone
A Psychedelic Scorpion that looks like it went through a crusher

I'm gonna be away for about 2 days. Going to Alton Towers with my cousins.

EDIT: excuse the crappy music im sorry

DOUBLE EDIT: The site I linked is the exact same as the one Yugitom linked. Fuq.

A lot of the Zooks in the video are from around 2013, and back then I had the mindset of "if it dont have 20 bajillion legs its not fast and its not good"

EDIT: Bar the wheel zooks, none of the stacked leg Zooks were entered into the tournament.

I applied for this show a few times with different teams, so I should know what I'm doing.

So what is the list of events that are happening?

Well, despite the appearance of the better version, the tournament will be in SR, so the only 3 in that. Make 3 zooks, one for each event.

Should we alternate between the two versions of the game inbetween tournaments (A la BBEANS1,3
and 5 were stock, then 2,4 and 6 were DSL? I feek the older events are superior.

Well, if you're downloading the game to make zooks for those events, I'm sure you'd be able to find out for yourself :P But, there's Tag, Marbles and Sumo.

Well, the building in the older version seems a bit stripped down and it doesn't declare winners, so the older version has some issues which prevent me from making the the older version the outright go-to Bamzooki game. Like I said, I'll chat with Joelu and S_M about this. For now, just make zooks in the SR version, as that's the version we've started with.

Bumping this just to mention that if you want to use the old events, you don't need to get the old Zook Kit working; you can simply copy the Contest Pack data from both the ContestPacks folder and the Contests folder to the BAMZOOKi SR version of the Zook Kit. I was having problems getting the old Zook Kit to run, however I found that the contests work fine on the SR version (even if the textures look a little off as they automatically get replaced with the SR textures) so there isn't any need to go to the old version, really.

Also, going back and forth between versions may be a hassle for some people, and considering that people have already had a fairly large amount of problems getting the Zook Kit to run in the first place, we should just use the SR version with the SR and original contests.

Also, we are defiantly still going ahead with the tourney. If you still want to make a team of Zooks for it, I think you still can (may have to check with Yugitom and see if he's still accepting entries)

That's really good news, as we get the best of both worlds, there.

And, yeah, I'll be accepting entries up until the first or second video of the tournament (which will, hopefully, be happening after my tourney.)

Hey everyone. I have uploaded my copy of BAMZOOKi. I hope it works for all of you :)

Have you read the thread? :P If so, you'd know that original copy has been recently provided to us by Masterath and the SR tourney is still accepting entries, up until the first video comes out.

You need to copy the contents of each folder from the old kit to the corresponding folder in the new kit. Basically, you copy the stuff in the "Contests" folder in the old Zook Kit. Then, you put them in the folder in the new Zook Kit names "Contests". You repeat this for the "ContestPacks" folder.

If that doesn't work, then I'm not sure what else to suggest. I'm not certain of what exactly you did, and without that knowledge I can't be of much help.

As a massive fan from my early years who couldn't make anything but watched the hell out of the TV show I seem to remember centipede like Zooks where the most successful.

They would kinda get screwed in the finals though. You needed a rather small zook for those.

Another thing, that last Zook:

(Image removed from quote.)

That's Blu Ray, unmistakably. A Zook entered in Series 4.

Also, now that I look at them, the URL's for the images show the names of the Zooks; top one is called Domino, middle one is called BEAST, and bottom one is called Blu Ray. They were all seen on Series 4.

For the record, they are different though. The Zooks have been changed a fair bit, so they are not identical to what was on the show. Apart from Blu Ray, that's near identical IMO.

This isn't me saying they're not allowed, I'm just making observations.
