Title: A gaming atrocity
Post by: courthousedoc on July 06, 2012, 09:40:31 AM
Brothers in arms should be a tactical shooter not a bubblegum shooter

This is stupid. How could they do this to such a beloved franchise

What's a bubblegum shooter?
A shooter where they try to make it too arcade like, make a half-baked story, and focus just on the graphics.

This is what happens when you tell Gearbox to make a game. Those guys don't geat "serious", they get fun. Auteur theory strikes again. Rockstar, Valve, Anyone but gearbox when you are going for a serious game. Hell, Anyone from nintendo.

I totally didn't know WW2 was MODERN. Tell us more with your insightful knowledge of history, Karl Pilkington.

modern in terms of gaming = anything the past 100 years. It's not futuristic, not stone-age and not creative really in any way.

cave-men war would be a more interesting game.

Gearbox actually Can make serious games (The first three Brothers in Arms games were gritty, dark, and had an Actual Story to tell). Then they come along with this piece of s**t.

I'm not sure why, but it feels to me they guy who was diong the gritty left. I mean, they hired the guy from HAWP to do DLC story writing.

you have ****ing mental problems if you get this sensitive all the time.
I believe he stated at some point that he has Autism. Can't remember.
It's also ironic considering he has actually given a genuine argument about this whole FPS topic against Ian who's just re-iterated his own point rather than giving a genuine argument against. It's also ironic that you're accusing him of being sensitive :P
