New builder here, and probably not a very good one (yet?). I've only had the game for about three weeks, running DSL mod only one week. So, you're going to see a whole lot of bots that'll probably get turned into scrap in about 5 seconds.

My personal preference is to try to build reasonably realistic bots. Therefore, I don't know anything about glitches that could allow me to make uberpowerful bots.

So here's my first DSL bot, "RECORD BREAKER" (because of how easily it can be killed):

It's durability is horrific even though I've used 1mm titanium armour. If the weapon isn't "in use" (in other words, me holding on the buttons to operate the weapon), the bot can _barely_ even move. Basically, that means I have to rely on bots getting close to my bot so it can fly around (by using the weapon like some sort of helicopter blade... o_O).

No wonder your bot cant move, here is what I found:
Too heavy weapon motor & weapons compared to the strenght of the drive.
Just 1 Ant batt!?O_O That is not even enough to run 2 of your drive motors for 1 minute.

Whyachi tribars are much more durable for their weight, and also, take out the ant battery and put a red one in there. You have the weight. A bot like this would be good in stock.
I built that big robot on that TV show that time

Piglet motors are bad for drive. I don't know why, but if you use even the smaller motors than those, they will drive your bot much better.

Piglets are weapon motors - they have much max speed but less torque. Less efficient for driving.

-You need some more battery power. This is UBER underpowered. Add at least a red battlepack.
-That chassis is too big.
-That weapon does look too powerful for a LW. And the morgensterns are very high, you'll have trouble with flat bots like Biohazard or undercutters like Cleprechaun or Hworf.
-Change the drive motors. Use Astroflights or DRIVE Magmotors.

That's actually a great weapon for a LW.  An E-tek is nothing to scoff at.  You just need to improve the drive (Astroflights would be good) and battery power.

Reviving the topic from the dead, here's another one of my lightweights: "NARROW LO@D". It's very obviously inspired by the style of WIIDE LOAD, but it's adapted to lightweight classes. This bot also happens to take a page from Ninja Assassin...

Yeah, the weapons touch the ground when I spin up the weapon motors, so the bot becomes very unstable when attacking or driving very quickly. Maybe I should use drums and "beater bars" instead of drums+spike and ninja star?

Hmm...

You'd be better with 4-5 ant batts, and also Sage's right, you could just attach each piglet to 1 flipper part and 1 multi-extender. Maybe some motor armor for the Piglets...

From the junkyard of 765 Destruction Co. rises another lightweight.
"Blue Bird", a LW dual-saw with an OK wedge. It can get under SCOUT fairly well. It's quite unstable when turning at speed. Weighs 247.4, but I'm not sure what I can spend those last 1.2 kgs on :/. Anyways, if the bot gets under someone and pins them, the bot can do very nice damage, but it can't take more than two or three well-placed hits. I was heavily inspired by one of MikeNCR's saw bots and BOT-205. If you look carefully, there are 4 ant batts, not two.

Edit: This bot is actually invertible, but the saws must be driving, or else it won't move.

Pros: Decent damage / wedge
Cons: Flips on it's side easily / Very bad armor / No self-righting

When only 1 or 2 kgs are left, it really doesn't matter. Nice sawbot..

Well not too bad.

If you go under Scout, that's a great wedge, not a decent one...

However, saws MUST be protected on a sawbot, else a HS or SnS will destroy you, and getting flipped on it's side easily is really bad.

Just sounds kinda stupid actually.
