4 small are plenty, 4 large are better, but 4 small are still plenty4 small have worked OK for this so far, and its still more powerful than it needs to be :DOh, and the JX guards are on the flippers, and its those that make it more effective than most other flippers

I think SM is a pretty cool guy, eh builds unicycle-bots and doesn't afraid of anything
I made a Beta Rear hinged/ 2 BSG front hinged flipper once.
I like experimenting with the angles of flippers and their placement. 4 BSGs with their flipper blades meeting at one point can nearly be as powerful as a 4 SJXs. Give it a try, it may save you a tonne of weight.

I'd downgrade to aluminium side stabilizers if I were you (or maybe even just two angled shell panels, although they might be a bit too weak)The chassis looks quite large, is that just the angle of the screenshot?
