When in doubt, use NPC Fasts.

And INSIDE the bot please...

Just tried a rebuild, but I haven't really got the weight for npc fasts

New Version:

Titanium 3, decent wedges, suprisingly not too slow, but not very much torque

You really like that skin. :P I know, most of my bots are painted like that, & the great thing about it is that I don't even have to bother with skinning outside the botlab!

I would use DSL Discs to give it the feel of the original. Now I have done

Use 2 NPC fasts for drive instead of 4 slimbodys.

It doesn't have to be 4wd if you don't want it to. Looks perfectly acceptable though.
My above post explains everything about everything.

I would like to, but one of the key characteristics of the original bot was that it was 4WD, & therefore my bot should have 4WD too

It doesn't have to be 4wd if you don't want it to. Looks perfectly acceptable though.
I may try & rebuild it then. When is the deadline for entries?

I meant one of the black discs, but it's cool anyway.

Stealth Destroyer VI:

titanium 3, normal npc's because with fasts it was far too fast, technos because their width gives stability, 7 ants
pretty certain that it just about passes realism, but I may be wrong

Use something lighter for the stabiliser.

I know that I could but:
1) It NEEDS to stay on throughout the entire match, otherwise the bot does wheelies!
2) It is perfect size, it doesn't tip backwards at all & the wheels are fully touching the ground

What wedge setup would you recommend?
Its not really that bad, although I agree that it could be better

A simpler one, not a triple thing.

What would a simpler setup be?
Whats a 'triple thing'?

Triple thing is your messy wedge right now.

Simpler setup = 2 metal hinges and 1 skirt hinge in highest possible position

The bot relies on the wedges to hold it up (not the skirt hinge wedges) & if it used skirt hinge wedges then it pushes them upwards so that the hammers hit the ground.

Imagine mako having skirt hinge wedges, it would have the same effect that it would have on my bot

Micro Impact, could be about 10 times better
I'm working on a new version
