Here is a bot that I made ages ago, I know the dsl bars could be attached in a better way.
My question being, why does this do so badly? It can't even win against eye stabber

Because this game is dominated by wedge bots. You have bots that just slides right under and start popping/grinding at your open bottom. So anything without wedges will need serious external armor to survive.

Probably because eyestabber is under your bot, so it's hitting the extenders and not your iron.

Iron are fine as long as they are the one making contact.

Smash Hit:

I made this bot earlier.
It doesn't really act how I expected it to, it spins on one hammer, sorta like doom driedel
I've put it on the exchange, soyou can all have a look at it, its under the file name 'Vertigo_Smash Hit.bot'
Why on Earth does it do this?

Happens to me all the time. Just put flippermakers like on the bot i showcased in the BTTB 2 thread.

Inertia 2, (first version was posted on page 2),
True popup, titanium 5, small jx's, npc fasts, about 770kg
Good wedges, overpowered but I think thats good as it is a popup
However, deals pathetic damage, it has only ever destroyed a bot ONCE (yes, this was in NAR AI)

Looks decent enough, and in no way can this deal pathetic damage... that should score easily over 1000-2000 hits.

it doesn't deal full damage because the way razors are unevenly turned. So only some of them make contact at a time.
