I would definitely use a bit more weapon weight for the crusher, so it isn't woefully ineffective.

I've build a prototype Lifter that uses the chassis as couterweight but the game crashed during building...

Save often. I can't tell how many times I raged due to the game crashing when I am on the Wirings tab and my plane being unsaved.

usually I do just that but i was so focusd on building that I didn't save this time. Will give it another try. I think the chassisweight is a pretty good counterweight to work with.
