Do you really need a dual perm though? You could probably go with a 4-mag or even a 2-mag and still be spinning that thing pretty fast. Also I agree with Chickenado, your beater setup looks dumb.
A) yes cause it sends things flying and I love it
B) that was an after thought of the last crankshaft, I played around with the beater setup and found it needed to be lower to hit lower targets
also it probably helps but it takes away from the look of the bot
if you really need to hit lower targets use skirts on your bot
How would skirts help?

The low wedge will help feed your bots into the weapon, but if you can't get it to look good i wouldn't do it.

Also I think sledgehammers would do about the same as your beater setup far better and would last longer.

if he could clear up the weight for them

he would probably have to use 30 pound(?) hammers
which would be torn apart by my bots 60 pound(?) hammers
not that beater are gonna last long though anyways

God it's been quite long

Dumb-looking beetle basher

welp

and if I can find an area to lose weight in, since I've missed the oppotunity to enter TGRR 2, I might enter axelon 3 into HFT Summer fall 2014 with his new tooth design:

Now I've got to focus on the last one standing...

Thoughts?

Your possible entry for my tournament looks pretty acceptable, but the weapon looks pretty strange to me.

That angle connector is a major vulnerability. Never use the stock parts in DSL.
Oh I'll be doing some banging.......

But they don't have any parts connected to them, so how are they a major vulnerability.

yeah the angled connector is only here for being pretty. It's not a weakness.

Although it is a waste of weight and it may unbalance your spinner...

Doesn't look too bad to me, but could certainly look better.
I don't like the extenders on the top very much, I think the robot would be far better off being invertible.
Also I would put a slot for the disk on the skin, and get rid of the purple decal on the top, as imo the red, yellow, grey colour scheme is enough. Once you've done that I think it'll actually look alright.
Of course, giving it an HD skin would make it even better, but takes a little more effort.

Yeah thanks for deleting my comment.
It was advice, might not have been the best advice ever, but it was still decent advice.

Don't delete posts like that from your showcase, I did that and it was pretty stupid.

Wait, what? I haven't done anything
I've been off GTM for at least 30 minutes, unless it was a moderator, I never saw or deleted any advice from you

Unnecessary extender work is unnecessary.
Rotate the NPCs so that the bulk of them are outside the chassis, that way you can shrink the chassis to make it lighter and to make it less of a target.
Add another Ant Battery.

That was the gist.

Crabhammer, tite 3, HW (Insides and actual weight will be up in an edit)

Thoughts?

EDIT: Finished the rebuild on Barbaric contraption, it now looks very series 2-3 ish

Thoughts?
