Ok I'll bear that in mind, maybe I might just enter only a MW and a LW, my HW's not that good
Anyways Chew 2;

Now it has a worthless wedge and you're gonna get outwedged by anything else.

I approve of the vertical sawbot building but... eh.

But it's an IRL tournament and I must focus on the looks Oh b***** I'm gonna die, Should I add the wedge or use Chew1? because Chew1 is soooo much better srimech and design wise

You know you can focus on both looks and effectiveness as long as it is IRL ? After all no one would realistically enter a tournament in real life to lose.

That wedge was just fine by Massimov's rules. Don't let yourself be intimidated by other builders.

You should work on your paintjob so it's cooler though. Also why is it 10kg underweight ? Add another ant battery or moar armor.

Or you can decide to improve your building...  most newbies are average/bad at the start.

If you decide willingly not to improve you'll end like Kurt Wylde GroudonRobotWars and not be able to win anything. And that's no good for the ego.

Just wanted to get your opinion nar, what is the better design, Chew 1 or Chew 2? Chew 1 actually got badder reviews and Massimo said it was dumb but it is the better design by MILES.

But I will add these things and compare the two

Yeah but at the end of the day, this is a fun activity to do, even the serious bots IRL always helped others and were very sporting

its not a lack of effort it is a lack of experience
im sure i will be better in a while
just perfecting the craft is all

also chew 2 might be good there are ways to make good chassis wedges
they are next to impossible though so chew 1 will probably do better

Chew 1 is better, not only it has a far superior wedge but i'm pretty sure it can self-right better as well.

Of course, this is only from a battle efficiency standpoint.

there are ways to make good chassis wedges

What ? Good chassis wedges ? you mean with BALLASTS ? On lightweights, a class that is naturally very short on weight and needs all the KG's it can spare to be good ?

No.

Rebuild that wedge. As many times as needed. Try to build with the pause button on for better results, or fiddle with the game so AGOD doesn't screw you over.

Reconstructed the chassis, made the body more slanted, added a heavier disc, and gave it another ant, Titanium 5 now :gawe:

Better?

The skirt hinge sticking out the side looks ugly. But, nothing big. Looks great.

(Image removed from quote.)

Better?

no.

it looks like a "i'm new to this ra2 thing and this robot technically meets the irl rules robot" it doesn't look realistic at all. it doesn't wedge very well and its stupidly long.

find a real life robot that looks like this design before entering it in an irl tournament. also take a look at some real bots before saying its irl because it meets the rules.
