dont like the lines on the sides
Thats a texture from the 'Swag Pack' I can remove them if you want
The skirt hinge sticking out the side looks ugly. But, nothing big. Looks great.
Thanks Shield  thats nice to hear

But apart from that, any other thoughts?

Reconstructed the chassis, made the body more slanted, added a heavier disc, and gave it another ant, Titanium 5 now :gawe:

(Image removed from quote.)

Better?

no.

it looks like a "i'm new to this ra2 thing and this robot technically meets the irl rules robot" it doesn't look realistic at all. it doesn't wedge very well and its stupidly long.

find a real life robot that looks like this design before entering it in an irl tournament. also take a look at some real bots before saying its irl because it meets the rules.
Your point is invalid:
Featherweight:

And just a link:

That bot doesn't have a long metal sheet sticking out the front of it though.

The concept is the same, that's all I wanted to say, I can change the wedge, but tbh, it's not against the rules and I really like it there so should I really remove it?

SKBT won't be happy unless your bot is a box shaped wedge with nothing sticking out of it. Nevermind him.

Though TBH these skirt edges are ugly. I would just put a metal hinge completely inside the bot, so it's not ugly.

I swear metal hinges are banned for any wedge

Lol Nary. How often do you see a real bot with a long metal sheet sticking out in the front of it? The building style is called IRL for a reason.

EDIT: Also, yes, the bot Natster built should obviously be a box-shaped wedge with nothing sticking out of it.

In my eyes the only way Chew 2 and Argh! are the same as they are both VS.

Also Nate, don't listen to Naryar when it comes to IRL, he has no clue what he is talking about most the time.

That massive skirt on top kills it completely.

Weapon setup is kinda weird, maybe try something like this http://i.imgur.com/T6ggcIL.png, it will look a lot better then. Other than that it's a huge improvement over your earlier bots.  :thumbup

An extender would probably look better.

Regarding Chew 2:

You already have side prongs built into the chassis shape--why not put some small forks on the outer attach points of the skirt hinge, like Hworf spikes or spike strips (if you can get the weight) instead of a skirt in the middle?  It would look better, it would still be superior to a chassis wedge, and it would silence the IRL critics.

Hmmm... i think it will run out of weight (The skirt hinge is 8 kg compared to the spikes which are 16 or so) But be guarenteed I'll look into it

And thank you all very much!
