...Mome Rath is weak against a HS for sure. But other types have serious issues. I think it's S3's most dangerous VS.

Clockwork Hydra isn't a big threat if you build correctly your bot.

Do you mean calCUTta, because it goes 3 minutes and still has more than half battery left.

For some reason I had missed your post. I was talking to II when he said that both bots were weak.

Yay, 500 posts!

Well it seems to be a good design compared to every other DSL bot.

For clockwork hydra, I dont see the point of the piston ram plates. Could you explain?
Any comments would be appreciated. :D

It is just like the real Clockwork Hydra. The spinners are also connected to the ramplates.

Another new bot, Hawk 2

The motors are NPC Fast, and countless batteries, that I know power the Betas to full power.
And if you don't think that the 30kg sledge hammer on a Perm 80 is weak, look at the points between Hawk 2 and Mako.

And for a strength test, that is Mako waaay over in the corner...landing

That has got to be the second ugliest DSL bot I've seen.  (The first ugliest is an unshowcased bot built by FB).  Don't mean to be mean here, but the huge, boxy chassis, plain skin, and tiny wheels in the back don't make a good combo.

But it looks like it can fight a heck of a lot better than it looks.  I haven't yet seen a double Beta flipper that also has a secondary active weapon.  Dunno where you found the weight for that, but it looks good.  My only suggestion would be to add a skirt wedge in the front, to make it easier to get under bots.  And give it a better skin!

To lack feeling is to be dead, but to act on every feeling is to be a child.

2 Things
1. The skin will probably come soon
2. It was my first succesful try at a HW Flipper with Betas, and I wanted to make sure that the Betas had full power, which they do :-D

Edit: Hawk 1 had a skirt wedge, but I think I did it wrong because it was actually HARDER to get under the other bots.

Here is the new Ring of Fire 3.
(Image removed from quote.)
(Image removed from quote.)

It doesn't look much like a "Ring of fire". Mabye instead it should be called "Saw of Flame" or "Firesaw".

The original had more of a ring, because it was all flamethrowers.
Also: I will now make a Hawk 3 with th WORST paint job ever, just to make it the ugliest bot ever, while th skin is in the works.

Any tips on how to skin in Paint or Irfanview?

Do either cost money, and are those also what is used for splashes for bots like what Sage sometimes does?

You can even make splashes with Paint.

No, Gimp is short for "GNU Image Manipulator Program". It's free and i find it great. Open licence.
