It would work if you angled the hinge correctly. I wonder if you could mount it right up by the front edge, that would probably make it easier to get a suitable angle.

The bar wouldn't fit if it was one size smaller, and the chassis shape itself means that moving the drive further inwards means there is not enough space for the batteries. But I could make the bar thicker as well...

Oh and I already answered the one about the multi-extenders =P

Hence why I am very stupid :gawe:

I'll go try that now

I'd drop the multi extenders and attach the teeth directly to the hinge, use a larger rear DSL bar, and your wheel guards look to far out to make them look good.
I don't necessarily see much of an advantage of not having the extenders other than having more weight, as it won't be invertible anyway. They also tend to supplement the flipping action that setups like that give.

As for the rest, I agree.

On second thoughts, I think you're right. Removing the multi-extenders would be a bit pointless.

But... But... they make it ugly.... the black and red doesn't go with the rest of the robot.

Skinning is your friend in this case.

Sure.
You'll need to skin the skirts though.

Is that an IRL challenge that you're building this bot for ? Because cutting teeth just failz.

I think attaching the teeth directly too the hinge would look cooler.
Agreed, but it didn't fit on :gawe:
                                                  ▲
lol newfags cant snapper load ▲ ▲

Anyways, put that hinge closer to the front of the bot and directly attach the teeth (or razors) to it so you save 9 kg.

And wheel protectors are for wimps. Real men save weight and fight with their wheels exposed :P

Nary is right here, razors would work better than multis with cutting teeth.

But I'd keep the wheel guards for the rule of cool.

Problem is that they're not especially cool. They're just boring everyday flippermaker wheelguards.

A ripping teeth with the wheel stacked in the middle of the teeth (implied to have a big hole in it), however...

Or maybe long axle TWM3R's with some cool weapon on them.

I'm halfway through making a black and red chassis, so I'm nawt removing the multi extenders =P

Plus, yes I am a wimp. I don't really care about being a wimp either, wheelguards stay.

Plus, yes I can snapper load. problem? And does snapper load apply with skirts?

it's still weight wasted.

Yes of course. If you haven't remarked, skirts are burst motors, and "snapper" loading works with all mobile axles.

Ah, I see. I just thought if there was no burst function, it wouldn't work. Whoops =P

I do agree about weight wasted, but  hate half-finishing things. I'm still deciding whether or not to scrap the paintjob, however.

Skirt hinges are just zero power bursts with a specific shape and 5 AP's on the burst rather than one, as what is usual for bursts.

And build whatever you want. I was just giving efficiency and looks advice.

Yes, I appreciate your help, Nary =D

Do you reckon it would be best to scrap the paintjob? And does snapper loading work pretty much the same in Stock? Oh and is the copal the best motor to use?

OMG QUESTION DUMP =O
