That would reduce the effectiveness of the bot, as I imagine he could not improve it in any way using the weight he would gain. Keep al 3, unless you want to lose a razor for hypnos or something.

I'd lose a razor and upgrade the front skirts with the 8kg left.
Better than GK since 2009.

I'll try that, four is a bit too much IMO

I might lose the central 80cm poly skirt on that skirt hinge. It seems to be eating up unnecessary weight, in my view. That'll probably give you enough weight for Titanium 3 at least.

I do like the setup, though, with the side panel.

Urm... about the setup, it was actually dreamt up by ty4er, so I refuse to take credit for that :P

I've actually updated it since then:

Same armour, I managed to find enough weight by eliminating a razor to get aluminium sides, but the centre is still poly. Remove the centre poly all together to get tit 3?

Yeah, remove the center poly. The angled panels will do the job just as well for far less weight. =)

Okay, what I've done is ditched the centre skirt, made it tit 3 and made the wedge skirt 40cm longer. 248.2 and much better, cheers, bruv :3

Also, open question: How many ants would it take to fully power 2 drive TWM3Rs and 2 judge bursts? I have an odd feeling that make me want to build and IRL MW flipper =D

I'd use 7-8, but I don't know if that would fully power them.

Oh wait, turns out it was first used by 123STW.

Meh, I'll still give ty4er credit because he showed me the idea and was quite patient when I kept failing xD

MW IRL Flipper. "The Purple Wind" <- Trying a Superhero themed bot =P

9 ants, Aluminum 3, TWM3R drive with 2 judge bursts. The chassis is too large but is this shape and size to look cool only. Just need to give it a skin =P

391.5

Here's another picture, in purple/pink :gawe:

Metal Hinge wedges = Poor show.

Chassis shape is pretty good for going with the flippers, though. I'd maybe attempt to add NPC's if at all possible, or maybe even 4WD TWM3R's. If you have the weight for it, that is.

Wait? Make it a 4WD flipper with 2 Judge Bursts and T-Minus arms? Never seen one of those before :P.

Metal hinge wedges = What else to use that's effective?

391.5, aluminium 3, 9 ants (fully powered judges). Where can I shed weight?

Use the Flippers as the "wedge". Maybe make some compound support struts out of Flipper segments (like sub-wedges).

IRL building isn't about effectiveness, it's about making the most aesthetically pleasing and realistic robot you can get away with. Metal Hinge wedges aren't seen on bots IRL at all, skirt hinges rarely, but almost never for offense, normally it's for side skirts.

Point taken. Improved and skinned. Now called Tickled Pink =D

If this was a multibot I'd call it the GHEY Patrol xD

Not enough weight for titanium without changing the chassis or the flipper, so I added wheel guards and steel sharks teeth :gawe:

Wheel guards are a very nice touch. Got a bit of a T-Minus vibe to it now. What have you attached the Shark's tooth with?

That little red and black thing in which the name escapes me.

EDIT: This is probably my best and most original bot in DSL =D
