Also, is it me or is Final Z just a better version of mine? =D

Final Z finished second in BBEANS 6. I kloned it somewhat for Wheels Are Tasty 4 1/2, which finished fourth in Clash Cubes IV. So it's a pretty good design if you get it right. The exposed 400HP motor is a worry, though, but you can survive relatively well with it. I'd have something on the underside of the disc, just to keep the weapons off the ground.

The motor was also my worry...

Also, the photo may or may now show that there is actually a 20cm CF extender there. :D

And to conclude, I could have sworn that pwn's popup came second at BBEANS 6...

1) I'm actually at college now. And living at home again.
2) Pwnator's popup, Infection 4, finished as the Runner-up in the main bracket, but Final Z finished second in terms of its win/loss record, which is how the rankings are recorded. Wheels Are Tasty 4 1/2 reached the final 8 in CCIV, and finished 4th in the rankings. A robot's finishing position in the tournament doesn't necessarily reflect where it will finish in the rankings.

that did not win a tourney. Flaming Whizzer (IIRC) still holds best ever rookie bot.

I don't think thats valid. Inagural seasons don't really count IMO.

looks pretty good atm, what i suggest is shrink the chassis and get a side panel so you can have the drive on the back and the bsg on the other side. I think 123 had a few in his showcase somewhere.
And get different armour, plastic 3 would be good enough if you get more/better skirts

Not if its the best armour for the weight he has left, and any other efficient armour (plastic 3, for example) leaves him with no weight to add extra external armour.
