Slower machines just stop under it and get KO'd by the flail razors.

FG-style bots are, I think, the RA2 equivelant of a Glass Cannon. Very very damaging with the flail razors on the underside, but the extender work is normally hideously fragile, and one or two hits could easily take an entire arm off, rendering it useless.
