I think it would look cooler with DSL bars as motor protection, rather than a cage-like extender setup.

It looks like it could do okay. Hard to figure out what's going on with it, or how it'll do with just that rather obscure shot at the front. How are the wedges?

Unknown what are the collision meshes of the firestorm panels but they seem like they could lower your wedge's efficiency.

Very much so, almost like a RA2 version of One Fierce Roundhouse. It looks VERY nice, especially for an IRL robot.
