I planned for 4 ants and ran out of weight. Shrinking the chasis might get me all of 1kg at best I think. Right now I am too lazy to rebuild. I might if I ever enter it in a tourney.

Could shrink the chassis a little, yeah. Side skirts look like aluminium to me, too, you might be able to upgrade them to tite if you're really lucky.

You can rip off my chassis from the Synchotrons team (IIRC all the bots have the same core setup). You could probably use tite 1 on my chassis. Not sure, though. XD

Edit: I realized I could drop one ant and add another 1/2 sheet to eat up the remaining weight.

Yep. A 22.5-degree baseplate anchor + 20x40 bar should weigh less and be stronger than your current setup. With the free weight, protect those flipper segments that hold your stabilizers with weapons or panels.

Weapon assembly is on a servo piston so it can be lifted out of the way and then brought down ontop of the other robot acting as a clamp. It works best against shell spinners rammers and anything it can outwedge.

Not exactly a clone, but that concept has been done before (in stock by Inf). Also, a linear actuator might be better on that instead of a servo piston so it traps faster. :D

For the linear actuator clamp sawbot : You should angle the saws downward, and a clamp like this doesn't need more than NPC Fast drive plus technos.
