Yes, the three hammer bots don't look like that, but face it, they sucked in Starcore. Why not give 'em an upgrade?
then why not make them actually decent, these are just terrible and if you aren't going to stick with the original designs, i don't know why you're making them at all.

I'm not trying to give them a COMPLETE over do, just trying to make them a little more deadly whilst still looking as close to the original as possible.

Terrible? All of the bots so far have been able to knock out most of the default DSL AI with ease. Even Tempus Fugit destroys most MW's.

Don't forget to skin them.

Yea, trying to find the skins will be a bit of a pain tho.

Not if you use the original chassis.

those hammer bots actually do look like thier SC3 versions to an tolerable degree. bandersnatch just needs 4WD and it'll be fine.
How you make Alarm Clock Pizza is:
Step 1: You buy an alarm clock from the store, and then you have to break it and put it in the sauce.
Step 2: Fold the sauce in 5 slices and put it in the dough.
Step 3: Paint the eggs with a pitcher of a clock showing what time you want to wake up and eat pizza for breakfast.
Step 4: Put the eggs in the dough.
Step 5: Make it flat into a round shape and draw the time you want on it.
Step 6: Put some old steel to prevent other peple from stealing it.
Step 7: Make it flat and cut into 60 slices 1 for each minute in 1 our.
Step 8: Put in the oven set the timer to 30048813.2884 seconds and put the temperature on 'Volcano' setting.
Step 9: If you think it is take to long, then get yor alarm clock and set it to now so that it will ring and you can take it out.
Step 10: Take it out uv the uvin wen it is redy and go to bed. In the morning eat pizza and also eat yor hands bi mistake.

I am proud to have fathered both the Starcore pack and DSL so I am happy to see you working to make a DSL updated version of the Starcore bots.

I am fine with calling the DSL update efforts to recreate the Starcore pack something like:

Starcore Memories

Starcore DSL

Starcore Redux

Any of those would be appropriate.

Nice to see you all are trying to keep the memories going with latest learnings. Do remember that many of the designs were based on information near 10 years ago. So what you consider sucks was effective at the time and out did basically anything else that existed at the time.

If you want to base on the latest tunings, yes use the Starcore 4 Alpha pack. There were a few mistakes in those but not many. Most everything was brought to latest techniques while keeping the looks and textures where possible. For example, Alien Queen is much more stable and effective in 4a as are many others.

Good luck and happy to see what you come up with,

Starcore Redux it is.

But, how about we take a break from all that at the moment, I'm done building the few teams I mentioned, how about a bit of standard?

I daresay this is definitely my best one so far.

Well just the whole setup, a chained motor HS will probably be unstable and won't have enough weapons.

T-Minus-esque flipper. Forgot what the armor was. Has the issue of flipping onto it's back when firing the flipper. Will improve eventually...

Looks alright, I'd try to get something in back to keep it from flipping, like a flipper maker or something.

It IS fragile. Can't take more than 3 shots from a good hammer bot to damage the CB.

lol no weight. Unless I change wheels.
