Change your DSL Bars into Beater bars and attach razors to them, then you got a hybrid.
Soooo...

at first I thought it wasn't a hybrid but yes it is

some of your weapon work is a bit messy. the beaters on the extenders seem useless and the outer beaters... not sure.

also someone needs some more drive, though maybe a slow pusher can work... even tho it looks slow as all hell

While messing around on the botlab I wound up making this.

SHW - Reptilian Strana 2

Decent stability, but to make it a true Reptilian Strana sequel, I had to make the extender work to separate the weapon motors more, which is an obvious weakness. I mostly made it to look as scary as the first one, but I think it turned out more like a Baby Strana. =P

You don't need anywhere near that many ants. 4 is plenty. Use the rest of the weight on some more weapons.

What armor?

Nah, 4 is like bare minimum, and since this is a SHW I think he would be better off with around 8 ants.

DSA, I added a plate at the bottom front of it but, since I'm using JoeBlo's CC weight reducing caster to make it a SHW, I didn't have space to fully cover it. I also changed the wheels to Techno Destructo wheels cause it couldn't turn with slipperbottoms, so its a little faster now. Its currently at 1190.7 with 11 ants (wasn't sure how many I needed seeing as I'm using 2 Tornado Mer gearboxes for the weapons).

DSA
DSA is utterly terrible in DSL 2.1. IIRC Plastic 1 is even better.

Then what's the best, and not so heavy, armor to use?

Well, it definitely looks a lot cooler now, and it has Titanium 3 armor.

Why not make a hybrid

SHW - Sianvar

Only problem is the poly-carbonate skirts on the bottom AGOD a bit.

SHW - Swifty Little Demon
No paintjob yet, but here it is. Its a lot faster than the other bots with this weapon system.

I added a face spinner-esque weapon on the back due to the large gap between the shells and cause I had a lot of extra weight to mess around with. Also I learned I can get away with building a skinnier chassis for this design, which I will get to at some point soon.

there is some nice designs but most of your designs are poorly executed, I must say.

The advice that you need ATM : Make sure your extender work is the lightest possible without sacrificing toughness.

the hybrid just needs to be cleaner and less big.

That last bot... it's pretty unclassifiable but maybe remove 1 or 2 batteries. Make the chassis smaller.

Maybe making it less tall, removing shell panels and putting a heavier weapon setup on the disc would help.
