Not bad at all.

Hinged wedges don't work very well on fast bots, that said.

Oh, well if you say it.

I've done tests with Mako and i can say he is better against slow wedged bots that against fast wedged bots.

IMO it's why DOAM faired well against several slow bots (and one fast but Psyco had a mediocre wedge) was stopped by fast bots with good wedges, a.k.a. Enfilad3 and Hazcon.

Why is it that my stock showcase gets more comments than my DSl showcase?

These are the bots that never made it. Most of them are O.K., but I will show you.
Meka
I wanted some thing with tank treads, but it proved un-reliable. Was for ELBITE.

Small JX powers the EW. KOTH used a ax, DM used a E-Tek powerd Minion disk.
Idikia
Before Infi-Not and HR-H (at bottom of post) this was going to be my ELBITE entry, but I wanted some thing, different. I like it, but I just wanted some thing else.

KOTH uses two 30kig hammers, DM uses a E-Tek powered disk with teeth.
DREAD ALL
This was going to be a RAW entry, but then became my Robots Live, then was scraped all together. I might use it for GUMBA

Now a bot that did make it into ELBITE, sort-off a Enfilad3 clone, I at least tried to make it look like my own robot, so I slaped on a Tite sheet on a wedge, and here it is, HR-H.

And KOTH

TT looks almost the same as DM, but the razors removed.
Yes, I know that the plastic extender is half way through the ESC. My answer to that is you can cut the plastic.
Any Feed Back?
EDIT: Forgot to mention, HR-H uses 3mm Alu.

Tank-Tredded bots would actually fair pretty well in the ELBITE Tabletop... And even more so in the KOTH (which I have to show you guys when I EVER get a chance). They are more difficult to toss out via the spinning claws and provide a lot of protection on your bot sides. You probably don't even need to put snowplows on the sides of DREAD-ALL.

For the undestructive bot maybe put a flipper instead of the razors?

Tank treads = slow. Slow = FAIL especially in the claw top when bots don't face each other at the start.

Or you could do what I sometimes do to cheat on the Tabletop. Set the bot heading the wrong way and it will be facing the center. Too bad I didn't realize that before I sent my bots and used my change.
I built that big robot on that TV show that time

New Juggler
« Reply #52 on: December 13, 2008, 12:27:54 PM »
I have yet another new bot in DSL, and it will replace XLR8 83ST in WRL(If Wham would let me.) Another juggler, this one uses IfiCon's weapons, but its a new beast in its own right. Presenting, Crashman.

This bot can get under anything. And for the gut shot:

Yes, I know that there is leftover weight. And just for the heck of it, battle shots.
Vs GarmazeIII

And Shebeast

Like it?

Those are the most elaborate wedges I have ever seen. Do you use them as flippers? You should try to use the rest of the weight on armor and such. It looks quite destructive, I am just a little intrigued about how far apart those spinners are. I have never seen them that far apart.

Good to see someone that builds jugglers and understands snapper wedges.

Still, this is just a wannabe.

No, the snappers are there to self-right, something Ificon, Hazcon, or NWB can't do.(Mine does it rather poorly, but can do it.) That pic is old, I canged it to 3mm tite. And they have to be far apart, or they form a lip that prevents other bots from getting to the weapons. To Naryar, yes, its a wannabe. I don't care, honestly.

oh, right, then i'm giving my opinions on that...

-If you go under a wide bot, it's fine. But if you go under a thin bot, your spinners will be less efficient. If you go under Smashbox 2 head on with this bot (good luck doing that), only one of your spinners will do damage, the other will spin freely, or even more SM2 will lodge between your two spinners and no damage at all. When you juggle, your hands are relatively close to each other, right ?

-With a wide juggler, either the motors and weapon are external -more vulnerable-, either the bot is wide- more chassis weight. Or it is overlapped like NW.

-The DSL bar for defense between the spinners is pretty much useless because no bot will hit there. They will hit the spinners first- and if both of the spinners are KO,  that bar won't help you.

-This would need more defense.

-Wedges could be simpler. If you just stick with snappers and a simple sheet on them, you'll have deadly (and lighter) ones.

-This is one of my favourite drive trains, but IMO jugglers need to be even faster.
